Novena of Saint Michael the Archangel to attract protection and achieve grace

How to do the São Miguel novena?

As its name indicates, the novena of Saint Michael the Archangel consists of a nine-day ritual. When performing it, keep in mind a grace that you would like to achieve and thank them in advance for the help.

Opening prayer: “God, come to our aid. Lord, help us, and save us. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen. Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in combat, be our refuge against evil and the snares of the devil. Order God, we instantly ask, and you, prince of the heavenly militia, by divine virtue, cast Satan and all other evil spirits that walk around the world to lose souls into hell. Amen.”

Day 1: “We salute the first choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the celestial choir of seraphim, so that the Lord may make us worthy of being blessed with perfect charity, amen.”

Day 2: “We greet the second choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and all the celestial choirs of cherubim. May the Lord grant us the grace to flee from sin and seek Christian perfection.”

Day 3: “We salute the third choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the celestial choir of thrones, so that God may pour into our hearts the spirit of true and sincere humility, amen.”

Day 4: “We salute the fourth choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the celestial choir of dominations, so that the Lord may grant us the grace to dominate our senses, and to correct us from our evil passions.”

Day 5: “We salute the fifth choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the heavenly choir of powers, so that the Lord may deign to protect our souls against the snares and temptations of the devil.”

6th: “We greet the sixth choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the admirable choir of virtues, so that the Lord does not lead us into temptation, but frees us from all evil.”

Day 7: “We salute the seventh choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the celestial choir of principalities, so that the Lord fills our lives, in the spirit of true and sincere obedience.”

Day 8: “We salute the eighth choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the celestial choir of archangels, so that the Lord may grant us the gift of perseverance in faith and good works, so that we may come to possess eternal glory in Paradise.”

Day 9: “We salute the ninth choir of angels, asking for the intercession of Saint Michael, and the celestial choir of all angels, so that we may be guarded by them in this mortal life, to be led by them to the eternal glory of heaven.”

Our Father: “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.”

Holy Mary: “Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you, blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.”

Glory to the Father: “Glory to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, now and forever. Amen!”

Jaculatory: “Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in combat, so that we do not perish in the supreme judgment.”

Prayer of Honor to the Holy Angels: “Most glorious Saint Michael, leader and prince of the heavenly armies, faithful guardian of souls, winner of rebellious spirits, beloved of the house of God, our admirable guide after Christ; you, whose excellence and virtues are most eminent, deign to free us from all evils, all of us who turn to you with confidence, and ensure, through your incomparable protection, that we move forward, each day more, in fidelity and perseverance in serve God. Amen.

Pray for us, O blessed Saint Michael, prince of the Church of Christ, so that we may be worthy of His promises.

God, Almighty and Eternal, who, by a prodigy of goodness and mercy for the salvation of men, chose as prince of Your Church the most glorious Archangel Saint Michael, make us worthy, we ask You, of being preserved from all our enemies, so that, at the hour of our death, none of them can disturb us, but that we may be introduced by him into the presence of Your powerful and August Majesty, through the merits of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
