my inspiration is you

I wish I could take away from my chest all this longing I carry in me, I wanted to feel your smell or your touch once again.

You gave me the courage to show you my real and imagined scars and listened patiently as I sobbed out my traumas and fears. I was stagnant in many aspects of my life, but you gave me strength so that I didn’t give up on my dreams, even though I didn’t know exactly what those dreams are.

I’ve always been a person to make plans, but I got into a spiral of failure. I saw something special in you, in the same way and intensity that you saw this unique flame in me. You surprised me when you started making plans with me and I finally felt really safe with someone.

We just didn’t expect that something much bigger than ourselves would prevent us from seeing each other as we had been patiently waiting. Our plans were postponed without a certain date to happen. It’s hard to wait when the date is far away, but it’s even worse when we don’t even know exactly when we’ll be able to see each other again.

There is nothing we can do, everything is beyond us. I didn’t believe in destiny until I met you, but today I’m sure that it wasn’t just chance. Now all we have is faith, faith that if our paths crossed once, they will cross again.

I’m afraid of what I can’t control, but fear will always exist, the difference is in how we react to the unknown.

I close my eyes and imagine us in my invented reality. Since I can’t plan our present, no one will stop me from inventing our narrative in my dreams. My fiction may be too innocent, but it is completely based on real events. My inspiration is you.
