London. Dorian Gray (Ben Barnes) is a handsome, naive young man, drawn into local high society by Henry Wotton (Colin Firth), who introduces him to the hedonistic pleasures of the city. Basil Hallward (Ben Chaplin), an artist who frequents this medium, decides to paint a portrait of Dorian, in order to capture his youthful beauty. Upon seeing the painting, Dorian makes a promise that he would give everything, even his soul, to always have his look stamped on it. From then on Dorian no longer ages, but all the sins he commits and the age he arrives are shown in the portrait, each time more terrible. So that no one else can see it, Dorian decides to hide the portrait in the attic of his house.
Comment:
Indispensable for any psychology student, the film is based on Oscar Wilde’s “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, one of the few films that I found compatible compared to the book.
Indicated for everyone who wants to know the dark and dark side of our soul, the film clearly shows the archetype of Sombra🇧🇷
A film that will mess with your subconscious.
What do you hide from everyone and even yourself?
