Childhood and Weaver syndrome

Rumeysa was born with an extremely rare genetic mutation called Weaver syndrome. cause a rapid body growth, often restricting joint movement and leaving bones weak. Before the age of 5, Rumeysa underwent two significant surgeries to finally get walk for the first time with the help of a walker.

Journey from the “tallest teenager” to the “tallest woman”

In 2014, Rumeysa received the title of “the tallest living teenager in the world” for being 2.13 m tall at age 17. In 2021, she grew to 2.15 m tall, becoming the “tallest living woman in the world”.

Because of her stature and medical condition, Rumeysa use a wheelchair to get around most of the time. But she is determined to look on the bright side of things and do her best every day. “Any disadvantage can be turned into an advantage.so accept yourself as you are, be aware of your potential and give your best,” she said in an interview with Guinness.

One woman, five world records

In addition to the two world titles for her height, Rumeysa has won three more this year. She now has the longest finger of a living woman (11 cm), the largest female hands (at 24.9 cm on the right and 24.2 cm on the left) and the longest back of a woman (59.9 cm). .

Nothing stopped her from realizing her dreams.

Not being able to physically go to school, Rumeysa completed her education at home. She always wanted to work in the tech industry, started studying web development and is now self-taught front-end developer. She is also a lawyer and researcher. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming, shopping, exploring new places and hugging her cat.
