You will only need a few minutes and products that you may already have at home, such as: ice, alcohol, cotton wool, vinegar, among others.

The tips are divided by product category to make it even easier.

Foundation, eyeliner or mascara

  • Carefully remove excess from the base so as not to spread it. Put a little hydrogen peroxide volume 20 on top of the stain and let it act for five minutes. Rinse the stained area with water and dry with a towel. Wait a few minutes and iron the fabric.
  • Renata Muniz, from Tudo em Ordem sem mess, suggests removing the stains with the use of glycerin and alcohol: “light-colored fabrics come out easily if you warm up a little glycerin with a sponge, rub it over the stain, letting it rest for a few minutes . Wash it afterwards with cold water with a little bit of alcohol”, she guides.
  • Moisten a piece of cotton wool in liquid ammonia and clean the stain until it is completely removed. Remove the product with water.
  • If the item is cotton, soak the stain with white vinegar and rub until completely removed.
  • Rafaela Oliveira, from the blog Organize no frills, recommends: “make a solution with sodium bicarbonate and lemon and apply it to the stain. White alcohol vinegar is also an excellent alternative.”
  • These tips are also valid for products like eyeliner and mascara.

Powder, Blush and Eyeshadow

  • Spread some rubbing alcohol on the stain and rub until it is completely removed.
  • Apply liquid Vaseline and then wash the piece with water.
  • Soak cotton in ether and apply to stain. Remove with water.
  • Adriani Gonçalves, Personal Organizer at AG in Porto Alegre, recommends using a hair dryer at medium speed in case of stains that have not penetrated the fabric. This will help to remove the excess.
  • “Place absorbent paper over the stain and apply non-chlorine bleach on the reverse side. Let it act for 5 minutes and wash with warm water and neutral soap”, guides Adriani.

Lipstick

  • Personal organizer Renata Muniz advises leaving the stain soaking in hot milk and then rubbing it with coconut soap. After the procedure, wash with water and rub the stain with neutral detergent and remover.
  • White soap also has a quick effect to remove the stain: “rub the dry soap on the stain and then wash the piece”, recommends Adriani.
  • “If it is a lipstick stain on white fabrics, wipe it with a damp cloth with alcohol, acetone or Vaseline”, guides Rafaela.
  • If the stain is on dark clothes, it is recommended to apply an ice cube until removal.

Leather and suede clothing – special attention

In the case of clothes made of leather and suede, you should pay special attention to removing stains. Do not apply any kind of product, otherwise your garment will stain. Follow the recommendations below, from Personal Organizer Adriani Gonçalves:

  • Remove excess makeup with a cloth dampened with mild soap;
  • Make a solution of warm soapy water by stirring to foam;
  • Use only the foam and apply it on the stain;
  • Use a dry cloth to gradually remove the stain, always repeating the process with only the foam;
  • For tougher stains, apply hair conditioner or mild leather cleaner, leave on for 5 minutes and wipe with a clean, dry cloth.
