Prayer for heart pain

“Lord, I don’t know the burden each person is carrying. But you know. I pray that you will visit them in their weaknesses, making them brave and strong. I pray that in their pain, you provide them with peace. May you extend your loving arms around each and every soul and bring them to your chest and feel loved. May they know that they are safe and covered by your grace. I pray that in moments of doubt, you will show them the way. May you carry them when your legs are too unstable to keep moving. May you guide them, when they feel lost.

I pray Lord that in every broken heart you place your healing hand. May you breathe life into their tired bones and remind them that they are in you. I ask you to help people rest. May you quiet their minds and allow them to stop fighting and live. May you speak into the lives of each person questioning you. I pray that You will manifest Yourself in a powerful and undeniable way, and that wherever there is fear, You will provide courage.

I hope you heal our hearts even when they seem hopelessly broken. I believe you are currently taking and counting each piece. That you will heal them and put the pieces back together again, and that their hearts will be even more beautiful than before. I pray that You will help us to forgive ourselves for our mistakes, as You forgive us. May we learn to walk in your truth and freedom, no matter what life circumstances surround us. I pray that when we feel lost, you will keep us close to your heart. And that when we lose sight of our path, you remind us that we are never lost when we are with you.

Lord, your people suffer. We are fighting. We are suffering. And you see all this. You have already gone before us and you will go after us, and we know that there is not enough distance where your hand cannot reach us. Thank you for your grace and redemption. Thank you for your love never failing in any situation. Help us to live in these truths and stand firm against the enemy. Thank you for always fighting for us and interceding on our behalf. I ask you for every person reading this. May you cover them, wrap them, heal them. May you comfort and strengthen them and may you radiate your love in them and through them.

Prayer to overcome the end of a relationship

“Dear God, today I ask for strength to let go. I know that this experience has already played its role in my life. Now it’s time to move on, but I’m scared. So I ask: give me strength to let go.

Today, I ask for courage to move forward. I know there is nothing more I can give, nothing I can receive if I stay where I am. I know that His divine objective has already been achieved and that something greater awaits me ahead. But right now, I’m overcome with pain, and that pain is stopping me from moving. Therefore I ask: give me strength and courage to walk.

Today, I ask for wisdom to forgive. I’m feeling a lot of anger, a lot of shame, a lot of guilt. I’ve been trying so hard to understand what I did, what I should have done, what I should have stopped doing a long time ago. I know that if I could forgive myself and everyone involved, I would be able to overcome all this anger, all this hurt. But right now, I’m furious. I know it’s this grudge that is paralyzing me and making me feel lost. I ask for strength, courage and wisdom to forgive myself, because only then will I be able to forgive others.

Today, I ask for understanding. I’m trying to understand, but the truth is I can’t. I’m trying to see the meaning of all this that’s happening, so I don’t feel so much hate, so much fear. If for some reason it is not yet time to understand, please, my God, ease my pain.

Today I ask for the humility of acceptance. I confess that I don’t like this situation at all. Even though I don’t understand why this is all happening, I’m willing to submit. I’m willing to accept this experience – it’s just that right now, my impulse is still to resist. Therefore I ask: give me humility so that I am more capable of accepting.

Today, I ask for peace. I beg for peace! In this moment, I pray that the comforting presence of peace overcomes the fear and anger that threaten to consume me. I know that, with peace, my strength and courage will increase and I will be able to find myself in the midst of all this loss. I open myself now to receive and experience peace in the midst of this storm. I wish peace to soothe my soul. Now, I receive, embrace and welcome the presence of peace in my mind, in my heart and in my spirit.

Today, I stand stronger! Advance with courage! I act wisely! I open myself to divine understanding! I humbly accept all my thoughts and feelings and experience the growing presence of peace.
