Kings Day Prayer

“Thank you, Santos Reis, because you taught us so much, through the gesture of recognition that the boy in the manger is the King of the universe, is the Divine and is the Redeemer. You offered him gold: the boy is King. You offered him incense: the boy is Divine. You offered him myrrh: the boy is Redeemer.

Dear Holy Kings! Intercede for us so that we can be true worshipers of the child in the manger of Bethlehem and be able to offer him the most precious good we receive from the Eternal Father: life. Amen!”

O lovely Holy Kings, you were the first to have the good fortune to adore, love and kiss the Child Jesus, and offer him your devotion and faith, incense, gold and myrrh. We want, in our weakness, to imitate you, following the Star of Truth. And discovering the Baby Jesus, to worship him.

We cannot offer him gold, frankincense and myrrh, as you did. But we want to offer you our contrite heart full of Catholic faith. We want to offer him our life, seeking to live united with his Church.
We hope to obtain intercession from you to receive from God the grace we so desperately need. (place the order)

We also hope to achieve the grace of being true Christians. O kind Holy Kings, help us, support us, protect us and enlighten us! Pour your blessings on our humble families, placing us under your protection, the Virgin Mary, the Lady of Glory, and Saint Joseph.

Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Child in the Nativity Scene, may he always be adored and followed by all. Amen!”

Use the common rosary and, if you have a nativity scene at home, position yourself in front of it. On the large beads, the Our Father is prayed. Hail Marys are represented by small beads. The difference is the contemplation of the Mysteries:

First Mystery: We contemplate the discovery of the Eastern Star. The kings, wise men, experts in astronomy, observed the appearance of a new star and discovered that it announced the birth of the Savior. Let us pray that we too discover the Star of Faith and that it illuminates our hearts. Let us also pray for all Christians who are discouraged in their faith, so that they return to the Holy Church founded by Christ.
