John Travolta met Kelly Preston in 1988, and the two finally decided to get married in 1991. The following year, they were blessed with the arrival of a beautiful baby boy, Jett Travolta. Their daughter, Ella, arrived in 2000, followed by their youngest, Benjamin, in 2010.
John and Kelly sadly lost their firstborn, Jett, who was 16 at the time.
In 2009, John Travolta’s firstborn, Jett, passed away at the age of 16 due to a seizure. John has publicly expressed how he still thinks about his son every day and continues to keep him in his memory by creating the Jett Travolta Foundation, a non-profit organization for children with special needs.
In a recent Instagram post, John paid tribute to Jett with a sweet and heartfelt message: “My dear Jetty, I miss you more than words can express. I think about you everyday. Happy Birthday! With love, your father🇧🇷 The post received a lot of positive responses as people sympathized with him, including his former co-star Jamie Lee Curtis, who commented, “Oh, John. my hands in yours (to say that you support him)”.
The actor became a single father of two in 2020 after the death of his wife.
Later, Kelly passed away in 2020, leaving John as the single father of two beautiful children. Travolta took a break from work to be with his family and connect with them. In an interview, she revealed that she needs to talk to her youngest son about how the only thing we can do is “do our best to try to live as long as we can.”
John fulfilled the role of father and mother to their two children, Benjamin and Ella.

They also appeared together on screen in the 2019 film The Poison Rose, in which Travolta is one of the leads. The love between them has only grown over the years!
On Father’s Day, Ella expressed her love and appreciation for her in a beautiful Instagram post: “Dad, you make parenting look so easy, even if it’s not always. You make each day better than the last. You bring us joy when we are down. You are our best friend, and we love you to the moon and back. I hope to one day be a mother at least half as good as a father.” Support among family members is really a great example to follow!
