20 Scene Flaws From the “Men in Black” Movies That Even the Biggest Fans Took a Time to Notice

Anyone who loves action and fiction films will certainly have these three films from the MIB franchise in their hearts and minds, which are true classics of the genre. However, it is not always possible to pay attention to all the details of the scenes and, somehow, the producers ended up leaving some continuity gaps.

We, from awesome.club, we love to entertain you, so we’ve selected 20 bloopers from the movies MIB: Men in Black. A fun sequence of small missteps that don’t make the franchise any less interesting. On the contrary, the list will make everyone curious to review and find the errors that we identified.

1. Persecution not contextualized

Officer James chases a suspect to the top of a building. However, the reason for the persecution is not explained in the story. The impression one has is that the scenes were made only to insert the character in the plot. Then James appears talking to Agent K and nothing more is said about the suspect the officer was chasing.

2. The alien manages to place the ship inside the car

The alien, who is in human form, tries to transport his ship and, for that, uses the car of an exterminator to make the displacement. What you can clearly see is that the craft is much larger than the car. But that doesn’t seem to be a problem for the extraterrestrial, since in the next scene the ship already appears inside the vehicle.

3. The elevator changes

In the first scenes where J and K are at the MIB HQ, they appear going down an elevator that is an external platform. In another scene, this same elevator has a different shape, very similar to those found in ordinary buildings. It is internal and also has a door that opens to the sides.

4. Agent K stops a car on the road

5. The magical cleansing of characters

Near the end of the plot the main characters get dirty after eliminating an alien, the goo is everywhere. However, in the next scene they are already clean again, without showing how this could have happened.

6. Player number changes

“The UFO stopped me scoring”

In this scene, a spaceship passes over the stadium where a baseball game is taking place. One of the team members sees the UFO passing by, he ends up not paying attention to the ball that was coming towards him and it hits his head. In this scene, the boy has the number 23 on his shirt; in another scene, this same player appears in a local newspaper telling the episode and his jersey number is 20.

7. Hand position changes

In the first scenes of plot number 2, the two agents are hidden in an elevator and are supported with their hands flat on the side of the elevator’s ceiling. In the following scenes, however, they have their hands holding a part of the lining, like a flap, at the top, with most of their hands inside that metal part.

8. The camera that appears in the reflection

In this scene, J approaches to analyze a small spaceship. As its material is similar to a mirror, it can see the cameramen’s reflection at least twice. At first it is very subtle and only the most attentive can see it. In the second, when he gets closer, he can see the camera reflected behind the ship.

9. Distance x time calculation problems

In the fight between J and the various Jarras, you can see in the scenario that there is, at the end of the room, a tangle of transparent tubes where he falls more than once. In the end, there are only 5 seconds left for J to save Laura, but he calmly walks away and magically arrives in time. By the distance, in fact, there would be no way to save the girl, unless he ran a lot.

10. The extra in lilac and black

11. A missing floppy disk

After leaving the ship and facing a dog that was in the park, the alien stayed still for a while and next to him you can see a floppy disk lying on the ground. Seconds later, he decided to crawl to the right side of the screen and you can see that the diskette was no longer there.

12. Boris’s Escape

In plot 3, Bóris receives a visit from his girlfriend who brought him a cake, inside the delicacy there was an alien, who stopped the agents and freed Bóris. Soon after, the prisoner and the visitor have access to the room that keeps the weapons in the place, but they do not explain where he got the access card. Was it from the agents who opened the cell? Why would they have access to such a room? It really wasn’t explained.

13. How Boris holds his girlfriend

Bóris makes a hole in the wall and the space sucks people out of the place. He has claws that pin him to the ground, but his girlfriend ends up being pulled, and he holds her by the hand. In the next scene, however, he is holding her by the forearm, before finally releasing her into space. A change that lacked continuity again.

14. The glasses that appear out of nowhere

At the beginning of the scene where agent J steals a car and is stopped by police, he is without the glasses that are characteristic of his character. The camera changes and focuses on the police trying to understand what the agent has in his pockets. When focus returns to J, he magically appears with the glasses on his face.

15. Extra distracted or curious?

In the scene where agents J and O talk about Bóris and agent K, there are some extras standing in the background operating a device, most leave and only one of them remains. This one, who was focused on work, stops working and is looking at the cameras and paying attention to the conversation of the actors. He stays like that for a few minutes, then goes back to his work. The impression is that someone noticed the slip and warned the extra.

16. The extra in checkered clothing

As Agent J and Griffin talk at a party, in the background is an extra in a checkered dress and a red visor. She’s behind Griffin, but at a considerable distance. In the next scene, the girl is already in another position and much closer to them, changing in a matter of seconds.

17. Reading a newspaper in free fall

Agent J is freefalling in an attempt to travel back in time to save Agent K from Boris. While this is happening, a piece of paper covers J’s face and he picks it up. It is actually a newspaper, and denying any law of physics, the agent manages to open and read the newspaper, despite the speed with which he was descending.

18. After the fight with the fish

A few more scenes where continuity is lost and Agent J ends up clean without much explanation. The agent gets into a fight with a giant fish and gets pretty dirty. However, in the next scene, he appears in a room seeing Bóris’s computerized file, and there he is already in a brand-new, clean suit. Another glitch is that the fish, which was killed by J, appears after being taken away by the MIB team.

19. The alien that passes twice

During the conversation between J and young K, the two are sitting and several agents are circulating in the place guiding detained aliens. Behind J, a policeman passes by carrying an extra alien in black clothes with a strange belt. The camera focuses on K, and when it comes back to J, the alien in black starts to walk behind him again.

20. Griffin at the diner

In the cafeteria J and K talk and you can see that the five benches to J’s right are empty. After the agents leave, Griffin magically appears eating something and the camera focuses on him. As he had food on his plate, it gives the impression that he had been there for some time, about to order a meal. However, he does not appear in the earlier scenes.
