I who always loved solitude, today I love being alone with you

Even now, I stopped to remember what my life was like before you arrived, before you crossed my path. I know I can’t be ungrateful and belittle everything I’ve lived through until then, but it seems, I mean, it just seems that your arrival brought a special color to my existence.

It’s as if just being by your side, everything in me blooms and it’s spring all year round. Even when, inevitably, some winter makes me rain inside.

I’ve always been a bit of a loner. Maybe lonely isn’t the word, but, well, I felt like I didn’t have the best company or the right ones to explore the world like I dreamed of doing so much.

Even if this adventure was just choosing a different pizza flavor, discovering a new milkshake flavor, like strawberry pavé, or even taking a trip. Discover a new city. An unprecedented script. A sunset to ask you to marry me.

Looking back on my past, I can assure you with complete conviction that I was never as happy as I am, that is, I am in the present. I say happy in several aspects, especially in all that concern us.

To our love. To our complicity. To the universe that we created to live in and make that world our home. The warmth of our love. Like my chest, where you play nest, warm up and recharge. Forget about problems, about life, about the hours that, damn, have to go by so fast?

I confess that I always wanted someone to live all this that we are living. I am grateful to God, to life, to the universe, to the force that governs us, to destiny, to anything and everything, at the same time, that may have contributed to our eyes seeing each other, to our words being complete, daily, day after day, since that first day of ours.

Even now, I stopped to think about what my life will be like in the future and, I can assure you, I saw beautiful smiles for us. I saw a life full of dreams fulfilled, goals achieved, difficulties overcome and even more reasons to reaffirm something that today is enough justification to make me happy – I love you. I have you.
