“I raised him trying to set the best example”, Sofía Vergara shares what it means to be a single mother at 19

Sofía Vergara was married to Joe González from 1991 to 1993. As a result of that relationship and at just 19 years old, the actress had Manolo. After separating from Joe, Sofía committed herself to working and taking care of her little one so that she didn’t lack for anything. “I was very young when I divorced his father, so I raised him trying to set the best example and trying to give him everything I could. When I receive a compliment about him, it is very gratifying”, says Sofía.

Although she doesn’t regret being a mother so young, she recognizes that everything would have been easier if Manolo had arrived 10 years later.
