How it all began?

It is known that the Singaporean worked as a model in the 1980s, and in the 90s he managed to become a pop singer. But his stage career didn’t last long, so Tan chose another occupation: photography. One day, instead of his works, Tan posted a picture of himself. And that’s how it all started.

Eat 6 eggs for breakfast

Tan adheres to the “You are what you eat” principle and believes that the body’s condition and appearance is 70% dependent on food and 30% on exercise. So for breakfast, eat 6 hard-boiled eggs, of which only 2 contain yolks (due to cholesterol). Also a glass of milk and sometimes avocado with grapes. Which gives you protein and energy to start your day.

In addition to eggs during the day, eat chicken with rice, grilled vegetables or fish soup with vegetables. “Ice cream is my weakness, so I eat it sometimes, but only in the morning”, says the photographer. He also avoids coffee and tea, but drinks a lot of water. He doesn’t smoke and doesn’t drink alcohol, and in the evening he eats a salad of fresh vegetables.

Train for about 90 minutes

Four times a week (or at least 3 if he’s really busy), Tan finds time for weight training, which takes no more than 30 minutes. After weight training, he always does cardiovascular exercises. However, due to a knee injury, he does not run but walks on the treadmill. He also tries to practice swimming every day: he goes to the pool at night and swims for about an hour.

Do not use skin care products

Some believe that Singaporeans obviously turn to cosmetics. But what he says is: “I have sensitive skin, so I only use 2 cosmetic products every day: a face wash and a facial moisturizer.”

He was once presented with a botox session, which he even tried, but was disappointed with the effect, and since then he has avoided cosmetology. However, Tan admits that he dyes his hair, as at this age he already has a lot of gray hair.

In fact, he tries to go to bed before 11pm and wakes up early every day. So he is sure that night work or watching movies in the middle of the night is not good for your health. And to get quality sleep, he stops eating 5-6 hours before bed.

“Believe me, going to bed early is worth it. After you’ve slept well, you can do a lot more than if you worked at night.” says Chuando.
