How are the MTV Brasil VJs today (recall the station’s best shows)

MTV Brasil has marked several generations with its programs aimed exclusively at young audiences. It was on the open channel for 23 years, between 1990 and 2013, then switched to pay TV. In another post, we show you how 10 VJs are today who were very successful on the channel between the years 1990 and 2010. Gastão Moreira was on MTV between 1990 and 1998, where he presented, among others, the programs Metal Fury and Total Gas. He currently has a YouTube channel, Kazagastan — KZGwhich tells the story of great rock bands.

In 1996, the irreverent member of the hardcore punk band Basement rats began his career as a presenter on MTV Brasil. There he commanded Sweat, Throat and Torticollis, Gordo Pop Show, Gordo on Ice, Gordo a Go-Go, Worst Clips in the World, Gordo Freak Show, Gordo Bolognese, Fundão MTV, Gordoshop and Fat Visit. Since 2017, there is a vegan restaurant in Bixiga, calledthe Panelaço Center, and a YouTube channel dedicated to both gastronomy and art.

Carlos José de Araújo Pecini, better known as Cazé Peçanha, worked at MTV between 1995 and 2000 and from 2002 to 2012, presenting several programs, such as Fifth Category (audience program) and the Neura couple (game show with skits), among others. He stood out for his now-defunct program guided🇧🇷 The program was live and interactive and Cazé would call the viewers’ homes, giving them the opportunity to request a clip and even chat with him. Cazé went through other stations, but was not as successful as his work as a VJ.

Altair Gonçalves, known as Thaíde, is a rapper, songwriter, producer, actor, and presented the program Yo! MTV Raps, on MTV Brasil, focused on rap and black music. He began his career in the 1980s and was very successful in the 1990s, singing in partnership with DJ Hum, forming the duo Thaíde & DJ Hum.

Actress, singer and presenter Anna Bárbara da Fontoura Xavier, better known as Babi Xavier, stood out on MTV Brasil with the program MTV Erotic, in which he talked about sexuality and behavior alongside the doctor Jairo Bouer. At the station he also commanded Abrolhos backpack and supermodel. Babi also worked for several stations, participating in soap operas and auditorium programs, among other works. Today is digital influencer and her Instagram page has 100,000 followers.

Sabrina Parlatore was a model before becoming a VJ. In 1995 she began to present the Non Stop MTV. She was very successful as a presenter on shows like Disk MTV🇧🇷 Top 20 Brazil and Luau MTV🇧🇷 In 2005 he went to TV Cultura, where he presented the program Showcase for six years. Then he signed a contract with the channel Glitz and went on to present the program update🇧🇷

Well known for her work at the now-defunct MTV Brasil and one of the most versatile journalists on Brazilian TV, Astrid Coutinho Fontenelle de Brito has worked for several stations. From 1990 to 1994, she presented the Disk MTV, with audience records. Then he commanded the MTV Shack and O Foot in the Kitchen. Astrid is currently on the GNT channel and her latest works were Arrivals and Departures and Fair Exit.

Actor, presenter and entrepreneur, Marcos Chaib Mion, started working at MTV Brasil in 2000, presenting the programs Supernova and World’s Worst Clips. Mion went through several stations and, since 2018, presents the reality show The farm, on the Record Network.

Mion is also dedicated to literature and has written three children’s books portraying her experience with her 15-year-old children Romeo; Donatella, 12; and Stefano, 10. Last year, he released his third book, Blast This Book With Your Child, in honor of his youngest. This work proposes that parents spend more time with children and also brings several ideas for games and games. Paulo Roberto Bonfá is a Brazilian broadcaster, comedian, presenter and narrator. In 1995 he founded the comedy group Ataíde’s Nephews, with Marco Bianchi and Felipe Xavier. In 1997, they were called to narrate the rockgol on MTV Brasil, a football championship played by musicians. Today presents the Totally Excellent at BandNews.

The model, actress, businesswoman and presenter began her TV career at MTV in 1999, where she led the MTV backpackO Luau MTV it’s the Stay with me, the latter a dating show that made her famous. In 2009, she went on to present love & sex on Globo, a relationship program that earned her four nominations for important awards, winning two for “Best Presenter”. Today Fernanda Lima is on the GNT channel with the program Caminho Zen, in which she deals with topics related to spirituality.

Like Fernanda Lima, Daniella Cicarelli was also a model, before joining MTV in 2002 to run the MTV Sports🇧🇷 On the broadcaster, he also presented bikini newsalongside Cazé Peçanha, Daniella in MTV Country🇧🇷 dance the clipand, Kiss Saphey Battle of Models🇧🇷 Daniella, who is also a triathlete, was hired by Record as a judge on the program Got Talent Brazil and presented the auditorium program People’s Sunday.
