How are the actors of “Big Bang: The Theory” and what they are doing 14 years after its debut

Big Bang: The Theory launched in 2007 and ended in 2019, and although it’s been 14 years since its debut, the comedy series remains current as intelligence never goes out of style. 1. Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper)

2. Kaley Cuoco (Penny)

Kaley Cuoco started on the series when she was 21. In an interview, she commented that her character was the cute girl who lived next door to the nerds, but as time went on, she grew up (as did she) and left her shorts behind to wear less-tight clothes.

In 2020, the American actress starred in the series The Flight Attendant, in which she is also an executive producer and was nominated for her first Emmy. About that, she said that even though she’s been in the acting world for 30 years, she’s never had a moment like this and it was something she really didn’t expect.

3. Mayim Bialik (Amy Farrah Fowler)

Mayim Bialik, as in the series, studied neuroscience. His participation in the program began in 2010, after appearing in the last chapter of the 3rd season of the comedy series, the year in which he also released his first book, focused on the emotional changes of children and their relationship with their parents.

4. Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter)

After playing Leonard Hofstadter, actor Johnny Galecki began his fatherhood, after announcing in 2019 that he was expecting a son.

5. Melissa Rauch (Bernadette Rostenkowski)

Melissa Rauch, known for playing Bernadette Rostenkowski, developed in the artistic world as an actress, model and comedian. Before getting the role in the show’s third season, Rauch even queued up at the employment agency, until finally getting a call to audition for Big Bang: The Theory.

After finishing the series, she continued into the world of acting and entertainment as a lead and executive producer. Furthermore, she launched the charity named Oscar’s Kids to raise awareness and fund childhood cancer.

6. Simon Helberg (Howard Wolowitz)

The character Howard, played by comedian Simon Helberg, was, in the actor’s career, one of the nerds he gave life to. Helberg is also a talented pianist and, according to him, enjoys playing jazz. The actor was able to take advantage of that skill in Florence: Who’s This Woman? (2016), one of his works outside of the series, starring opposite Meryl Streep.

7. Kunal Nayyar (Raj Koothrappali)

Kunal Nayyar, of Indian descent, studied at the University of Portland before starting his career in the entertainment world. He started acting in plays as a way to make new friends and eventually landed his pivotal role in Big Bang: The Theory (2007), a year after graduating.

8. Kate Micucci (Lucy)
