How are the 12 main actors of “Paraíso Tropical” more than a decade after its debut + Bonus

The actor has already arrived rocking on TV with the role of the protagonist Bruno Berdinazzi, when he was young, in the soap opera O Rei do Gado. In 2018/2019, the actor was part of the cast of the Portuguese telenovela Valor da Vida.

The artist gave life to the lawyer Fabiana, a strong, free and unparalleled professional who had a discreet relationship with Antenor. The actress started on TV in the late 1990s with some small appearances and, in 2021, played the character Damiana, in the Italian film Bastardi a Mano Armata.

The character was a good-looking boy and he was in love with the character Camila, a romantic girl who was undecided between him and Mateus. The artist started on TV participating in the series Sandy & Junior and remains very active; he gave “a show” of acting as Mr. Onion in the films Monica’s Gang: Ties (2019) and Monica’s Gang: Lessons (2021).

The actor played the role of an employee of Grupo Cavalcanti’s companies, a kind of flatterer of the boss, a bachelor who lived with his niece and was in love with Gilda, but could not take an attitude to win her over. Otávio Muller was part of more than 60 productions in his almost 40 years of TV career. In 2021, he participated in the cast of the film The Motivational Speaker.

Hermínia, character of Débora Duarte, was a high-spirited Portuguese teacher, very dear to everyone, married to Clemente and with a great relationship with her stepdaughter Lúcia. This so experienced actress played her first roles in the 50’s and is very active to this day. In 2020, the artist was Tia Pérola in the series Perdido.

The public fell in love with the supporting couple Bebel and Olavo. What many may not know is that the authors of the plot even considered other actors for the characters, such as Mariana Ximenes and Selton Mello. In addition, Alessandra Negrini was also the second choice to play the lead twins; the first option was Cláudia Abreu, but the actress had to turn down the role when she found out she was pregnant.

Another interesting curiosity is that Joana Fomm would be the character Marion, progenitor of the villain Olavo, but she had some health problems and was forced to move away from TV. In her place came the fabulous Vera Holtz.

Right at the beginning of the soap opera, the team installed a sequence of rails especially for recording on the beach and for filming the shore and the bathers. Almost all the scenes were shot on Copacabana beach, mixed with images of Pedra do Anel on Leme beach.

The telenovela had several famous people as a special guest: the socialite Narcisa Tamborindeguy, the singers Paula Toler, Simone, Ivete Sangalo, Erasmo Carlos, Ney Matogrosso, Sandy and Junior. In the opening of the telenovela, Gilberto Braga imagined scenes of Copacabana beach during the day and at night, for this the team provided a helicopter to make the aerial recordings.
