Telling the story of Lola, Júlio and their four children Carlos, Alfredo, Isabel and Julinho, the soap opera Éramos Seis conquered many audiences with its remakes and re-readings. Based on the 1943 novel, the most recent adaptation was shown in 2019 on Globo. Although the Record TV and Tupi productions were also great, probably the most remembered version is the 1994 version, shown by SBT. This remake won the Best Brazilian Novel Award and featured a strong cast, including Irene Ravache, Othon Bastos, Tarcísio Filho and Osmar Prado.
