1. Stephanie Michelle Seymour

Kathy has appeared on the covers of Sports Illustrated’s special issue for 13 years in a row. In 1993 she founded her own company. The business turned out to be so successful that she went from a “swimwear model” to the richest ex-supermodel in the world.

Cheryl is often considered the first American supermodel. Her height of fame was in the 1970s. Her “Pink Bikini” poster became an iconic image of pop culture at the time. Cheryl also developed her own clothing line which was very successful: in less than ten years, she earned close to a billion dollars.

One of the most brilliant models of the late 20th century, who stood out among other girls for a unique sense of style. In the early 1990s, the model shaved off her eyebrows and got a short haircut in the style of the 1920s. The new look gave her career a strong boost. Currently, Kristen continues to participate in fashion shows.

11. Kimora Lee Simmons

Kimora signed her first contract at the age of 13 — and it was soon with the fashion house Chanel. She became Karl Lagerfeld’s muse, and gained special fame in 1989, when at the Chanel show, she walked the runway in a wedding dress. Karl Lagerfeld called her “the face of the 21st century”.

Now, the model has her own clothing brand and is involved in charity work.

12. Shalom Harlow

In the 1990s, the model appeared on six Vogue covers. Despite her fame, Shalom was considered “anti-supermodel” because her style was the exact opposite of the glam boldness of the 1990s.

In 1991, Molly Sims went to college and started studying Political Science, but two years later, she dropped out of school and sent her photos to a modeling agency. She was 19 years old.
