How and what are the actors of “High School Musical” doing today, 14 years after the premiere

There is no doubt that the film High School Musical marked generations. Even though so much time has passed since its premiere — more precisely 14 years — the production is still present in many people’s lives. And that includes the actors, who make sure not to forget the times of the musical comedy that won so many awards and that sends such a powerful message: each person should do what they want, regardless of the stereotypes imposed by society.

Our dear Troy Bolton is no longer a high school boy. After the fame obtained with High School MusicalZac Efron participated in the remake in Hairspray — Quest for Fame, living the character Link Larkin. In the feature, he returned to using his artistic gifts when it came to singing and dancing, in addition to having a slightly darker hair, with which he certainly won countless hearts. Afterwards, we had the chance to see him act in films like 17 Again, as one of the lifeguards of Baywatch: SOS Malibu and later in a new musical, called The King of Show, along with Hugh Jackman.

The interpreter of the innocent Gabriella remained in the show business, singing and acting in series and films. Among the most recent productions, it can be seen in the film Bad Boys Forever, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. Whenever she can, she likes to show up with the look as natural as possible, without putting on makeup. Remembered for playing Sharpay’s brother, Lucas stood out in High School Musical for her gift for singing, dancing and “bearing her sister”. The artist has participated in more than 20 chapters of Family Guy dubbing several characters, and from animated series like Elena of Avalor and Pinky Malinky, among others.

I miss those curls! But there’s no doubt that Corbin looked great with the shorter hair too. After High SchoolMusical, he participated in several films, reached the final of the contest equivalent to the Famous dance in its 17th season and, last year, it starred kiss me, kate at Broadway’s iconic Studio 54. Bart played Troy’s father, the basketball coach at East High in High SchoolMusical, and has been continuing his acting career. Among his recent works stands out Young Women, film in which he played the role of Mr. March, having the chance to work with Lucas Grabeel again. This year, he published a video dancing with KayCee Stroh (Martha) to the song Work It Out, by High SchoolMusical 2. Bart made it clear that even years later he remembers the choreography perfectly!

Chris was part of the popular group, in addition to being partnered with Troy and Chad on the Bobcats, East High’s varsity basketball team. But he wasn’t the most fanatical about singing and dancing, being more interested in cooking, as he revealed in Stick to the Status Quo. Chris has worked on television series such as Grand Hotel, in which he played Jason Parker, and The Fosters, playing Ty Hensdale.

It’s very difficult to remember High School Musical and not think fondly of Kelsi. Olesya is of Russian-American nationality and plays the piano, as does Kelsi, who accompanied on the instrument mainly the songs sung by Troy and Gabriella. She acted in many films and series such as Powers and Greek.

Martha was enchanting with her movements when she put her books aside for a bit to dance, as is clear in the aforementioned “Stick to the Status Quo”, a song that she performed this year together with the Sharpes, a family that enjoys appearing singing on social networks, and which can be seen here. She is currently married and has two daughters: Zetta and Lettie.
