Remembered as the famous “Lieutenant Dan” and for having acted in CSI: New York, Gary Sinise continues to make his mark on the world, but now he’s doing it off-screen, helping those in need. The actor created Gary Sinise Foundation, an NGO that seeks to honor fallen soldiers, veterans, first responders and their families. One of the entity’s programs is the Snowball Expresswhich touched thousands of people with its main objective: to give a special day to each family of a fallen soldier.

This is a special program that seeks to help the children of soldiers killed in combat. In 2017, it became an official initiative and its commitment is to maintain traditions, integrating the families of these soldiers. Each December, the foundation organizes a five-day experience for more than 1,700 children and their surviving parents or guardians by giving them a trip to Disney World.

The program provides fun resources in a stress-free environment, so they too can sympathize with other families going through the same thing and make new friends, helping the community grow.
