Last Tuesday, February 28, the former BBB and digital influencer Thais Braz appeared on social networks to say that he traveled to the city of Rio de Janeiro to perform a mastopexy and surgery to reduce his silicone prostheses. The procedure took place on Monday (27).

“I disappeared, but for a reason. It was for surgery. I changed my silicone prostheses here in Rio de Janeiro with Dr. Leonardo Avellar. I came to Rio to have surgery with him”, said the influencer in a sequence of videos published in Instagram Stories.

Thais explained that she had a 240 ml prosthesis and decided to change it for a 210 ml one so that the surgery scar would not be visible.

“I was going to put less, but if I put less, the scar would be too big. I put a smaller one, but not that smaller. I had 240 ml, I switched to 210 ml. I had a mastopexy, which also reduces my breasts. It’s still swollen because my surgery was yesterday. I left the hospital today and came here to the hotel. It’s not just my chest that’s swollen, I’m all swollen because I’ve been taking IV fluids, lying down… Now I can walk again. I am taking several medications. It hurts a little bit, but I’m fine, ”she said.

In an interview with Good shape, the former BBB described what motivated her to reduce silicone prostheses. According to her, her breasts had grown bigger, which made her feel uncomfortable with the size and chose to undergo the procedures.

“The surgery went very smoothly, I trusted the doctor and what I wanted, I felt a little pain, I was swollen, but I took medication and took care of it straight away. So now everything is fine and pain free. Every surgery has a slightly difficult post, breast you need more special care for a few days, so it’s always good to have someone close to help”, he said.

For her, the procedure really made a difference to her self-esteem, as it made it possible to change something that she didn’t like about her own body.

“I value being well with myself a lot. Therefore, when I feel like changing something, in any area of ​​life, whether through cosmetic surgery or a form of self-care, I make it a priority. I seek help from good professionals, some references and I do. Self-esteem is a process that is very involved in our stages of life as well”.
