Don’t you ever get tired of pretending that everything is fine?

There are certain stages in our lives when Pretending to be socially accepted begins to make no sense. Smiling when we don’t feel like it, trying to make everyone like us and trying to be perfect is quite exhausting, in addition to being frustrating.

Not everything is fine nor are we always comfortable, but it seems that we are obliged to be cheerful, happy and tolerant people with anything at all times. Pretending is painful, it’s time we realize it.

I won’t pretend anymore

“I won’t put up with some things anymore.not because I have become arrogant, but simply because I have reached a point in my life where I don’t feel like wasting any more time with what displeases or hurts me.

I have no patience for cynicism, excessive criticism and demands of any nature. I lost the will to please those who don’t like me, to love those who don’t love me and to smile for those who don’t want to smile at me.

I will no longer dedicate a minute to anyone who lies to me or wants to manipulate me. I decided to no longer live with pretentiousness, hypocrisy, dishonesty and cheap praise. I do not tolerate selective scholarship and academic haughtiness.

I will no longer mix with the crowd or the rabble. I can’t stand conflicts and comparisons. I believe in a diverse world and that is why I avoid people with rigid and inflexible characters.

In friendship I dislike lack of loyalty and betrayal. I don’t get along at all with those who don’t know how to praise or encourage. Exaggerations bore me and I have difficulty accepting those who don’t like animals. And above all, I no longer have any patience for those who do not deserve it.…”.
