Correct the wise and he will be wiser, correct the ignorant and you will make him your enemy

In reality we are all very ignorant. What happens is that not all of us ignore the same thing nor are we able to recognize it to the same degree. Specifically, we understand ignorance as a concept that indicates a lack of knowledge or experience. It is precisely this lack of knowledge/experience which makes the ignorant vehement and suspicious, and can become our enemy if we have different experiences or knowledge.

This awareness of our ignorance is what reveals us in the face of reality, our finitude in the face of such infinity, and reconciles us with our nature. Ignored ignorance presumes knowledge

It refers to people who tend to overestimate the amount of knowledge we have, either because of the amount or the confidence with which we convert personal opinions into irrefutable facts.

The awareness of our own ignorance gives us a great gift: curiosity
