CG Jung (1875 – 1961)
CG Jung is the creator of Analytical Psychology. Initially a disciple of Freud and considered by him the “crown prince of psychoanalysis”, Jung breaks with some aspects of psychoanalytic theory, especially the concept of libido.
In his autobiography, entitled Memórias, Sonhos e Reflexoões (in German Memories, dreams and thoughts) he writes: “My life is the history of the individuation of the unconscious”.
Its best known concepts are: introversion and extroversion, collective unconscious, archetype, complexes, synchronicity, individuation. He was in constant contact with researchers from all areas, being an author known for his openness to dialogue with other cultures.
