Be positive!

Being positive can make a big difference in how we experience everything that happens to us. It’s about choosing a prism through which to look. And in the long run, you will greatly appreciate it.

Life always gives us surprises. And it is normal for us to be careful and worry in case the next one is not very positive. However, since things happen, whether we like them or not, we must not focus too much on the bad things that may happen. What’s more, it is best to be positive whenever we can, even if it is not always possible or necessary.

We cannot control what happens around us: if someone we love gets sick, if we meet someone special, if we have an accident… but we can. We can control our emotions, our feelings, and our way of seeing life. And really, that makes a big difference.

Thinking that we can find good things and see the positive side does depend on us. There lies our strength and the power of our mind. It is impossible to predict the future, since at first glance, nothing seems systematic in our lives, nor can it give us clues about what will happen in the long term.

What we believe makes up our reality

Being more successful in our work is much more likely if we believe it than if we think otherwise. And this is something well known by almost everyone, but almost no one applies it in a conscious and rationalized way.

What’s more, the predominant mentality is to think that things will go wrong, as if that were some kind of protective talisman against bad luck. We believe that by thinking negatively, things will later become positive.. We play with the “mirage of expectations.”

Having lower expectations can help us feel triumphs better, just as they can lead to greater frustration. So, if I think I’m going to fail and I get a five, I’ll be the happiest person in the world. On the other hand, if I think that I am going to get a grade, and I get a five, the result will have been negative. But the reality of this example is that I have had a five. With some expectations or others. In this sense, Having expectations can be a double-edged sword.because we will have suffered waiting to obtain something, or, it will have made us try less, and the result could have been better.

The future will always contain one degree or another of insurmountable uncertainty, which will be there, no matter what. And we can face it with fear, or with positivity. Being positive does not mean expecting more and better. It is simply about having confidence, in ourselves, in others and that good things can happen. When we think positively, our attitude will be more proactive and, almost without realizing it, we will put more effort into getting closer to what we want to achieve.

Following the previous example, taking our studies with a positive attitude will make it possible for us to obtain a high grade, and we will study more and better, because we see it as more possible. Thus, this closeness to possibility also brings us closer to probability.

The fear that prevents being positive

Fear makes us insecure, restricts us, and alienates the freedom of the mind, and therefore, of the people. Being afraid is natural, it is that alarm that tells us: “be careful, something is going to happen.” But what is going to happen? There are only two options, broadly speaking. Something that we feel is good, or something bad. Probably in a fifty percent chance.

Does fear make sense then? Can’t we turn our fearful ideas, our fears, into hopeful, positive, and more enriching ideas?

It has been shown that people with a positive mind live longer and better than people who have negative minds.

A positive mind makes our thread stronger and more durable.. We can get up in the morning and think about all the negative things we may encounter: “it’s cloudy, today it’s sure to rain and there will be traffic jams, I won’t get to work on time and I won’t have time to finish everything I have to do…”. Or, we can wake up and see it another way: “It’s raining, I have to finish those unfinished business, so I’ll leave a little early to arrive on time. And so, then I will have time for myself and read that book that I like so much.”

There are two alternatives. One makes you go to work in a bad mood, which negatively predisposes you to establish relationships with your colleagues and do your tasks worse. The other makes you smile, which activates substances in the brain that favor that state, and prepares you to spend an ordinary, but pleasant and positive day, with yourself and with others.

Being positive is synonymous with being happy

A daily reality is that Positive people relate better and have more friends and acquaintances, because they attract, waste and give off positive energy, good vibrations. You know that if you get close to them you will have good feelings, and that is something we all like. You know that you will have fun times, and most likely, that state of positivity that is so needed today will rub off on you.

When we see a person we don’t know smile, we like them more than another who is at his side, serious and immutable, and who we do not know either. This does not mean that we have to walk down the street laughing for no reason, but a face with a smiling and funny gesture conveys a satisfied, fun, and therefore attractive interior.

Being positive is almost synonymous with being happy. Let’s put aside the fear of seeing the glass half full. Let’s live every moment as something fascinating and unique. Let’s enjoy the power of now and think constructively. In a way that brings us joy, hopes, dreams, hopes, happiness.
