“The Miracle of the Morning”, by Hal Elrod, proposes a morning routine with silence, affirmation, visualization, exercise, reading and writing. And preparation for the new day begins the night before, when it is suggested to do positive affirmations before bed. 1 – I have finished all of my routine tasks needed to prepare for tomorrow, including defining everything I need for my Miracle Morning. My alarm clock is on the other side of the room, so I’ll have to get out of bed to turn it off. I have decided what time I wake up, and I am clear about what (specifically) I will do when I wake up. I am anticipating the morning with positive expectations and excitement because I am well aware of the benefits I will receive by choosing to wake up and live The Miracle Morning. This will allow me to become the person I need to be to easily and consistently attract, build, and sustain the life I truly desire.

2 – I’m going to bed today at __: ___ in the evening and will wake up at __: ___ in the morning, which gives me __ hours of sleep. That’s ENOUGH; in fact, it’s exactly what I need so I can develop my peak level of performance tomorrow. The reality is that my mind controls my body, and I really only need the hours of sleep that I set for myself and that I believe I need. Many of the most successful people in history have functioned optimally on 4 or 6 hours of sleep, and I can’t allow myself to fall into the limiting belief that getting more sleep will somehow improve my life. In fact, it would be very detrimental to my stress level, finances, relationships, career, and goals. My quality of life depends on my wake-up time tomorrow.

3 – I will wake up tomorrow at __:___ in the morning, because by doing so, I significantly increase the likelihood of achieving my goals this week, this month, this year and for the rest of my life. And then I know that the way I start each day determines how I build my life, because my day is my life. I cannot accept anything less than the best of myself.

4 – Regardless of how long it takes me to fall asleep, what I dream, how tired or overwhelmed I feel now or when I wake up, I will jump out of bed energetically tomorrow, at __: ___ in the morning, to build the most extraordinary life I can imagine — the life I deserve to live.
