A digital artist from Russia creates strange imaginary worlds in his collages

Russian photographer and freelance digital artist Victor Zastolskiy combines the incompatibility of mixing different genres and styles in his works. For his images — mostly interiors — he usually takes the shot, but ups the quality with editing. He adds many layers, including new 3D elements, in order to create collages, his favorite genre. You can see a selection of his imaginative and sometimes bizarre works in this article, by Depositphotos.

The artist’s background includes visual arts, interior design and computer games. All these fields strongly influenced his artistic style. The multidisciplinary artist initially wasn’t very interested in photography, but he started to use its limitations as the foundation of his digital images.

“It’s like cooking — if you choose mismatched ingredients, your dish could end up in the trash can or you end up creating an innovative recipe,” says Zastolskiy.

Victor creates complex and visually striking works that reflect the artist’s imaginary world. Quite unusual for stock photography and certainly fun for anyone who enjoys photography and the digital arts. You can find more of his works in his portfolio.
