The socialite’s wedding dress weighed 46 kg, and that’s all because she’s no ordinary girl. Victoria Swarovski is the heiress of the famous crystal house and, evidently, she couldn’t not use them in her model. However, no one expected that she would wear so many — more specifically 500,000 crystals — and that the dress would be so heavy. The responsible for the piece was the Filipino stylist Michael Cinco.

“I just handed her several hundred crystals and asked her to make a dress with them, with exuberance and, at the same time, simplicity.” Victoria said.

The stylist received the order just 3 months before the ceremony, but managed to prepare the look in time.

The dress was beautiful, but the bride had some inconveniences. Due to the enormous weight, she felt very hot, and the beautiful rug, on which she was supposed to walk down the aisle, had to be removed. The bride simply could not walk on it, as the hem of the dress stuck to the carpet fabric, and several people had to support her.

The makeup and hair complemented the look, giving the impression that Isabeli had just come out of the sea.

The dress worn by Madonna in 1985 to marry Sean Penn was a very unusual model. The asymmetrical veil with a black beret and the purple tulle detail on the bodice constituted a combination that would hardly be considered classic. Later, after her divorce from her then-first husband, Madonna sold the dress at auction for over $80,000.
