Red is believed to be used by some primates to attract males. So it is likely that on a subconscious level, red is associated with love and romance.

Red automatically increases a woman’s physical attractiveness. To prove this, scientists performed a simple social experiment. They suggested that drivers choose between giving a ride to a woman dressed in red and another dressed in a different color.

As a result, the researchers were right: 1 in 5 of the drivers chose to give a ride to the woman dressed in red. For comparison, the researchers did the same experiment with women, and color did not influence the decision of female drivers.

In 2015, scientists conducted an experiment. In it, women wearing 10 cm heels and others with ordinary shoes had to ask some men for help. One of the tests went as follows: the women intentionally dropped the glove, and the researchers recorded whether any nearby men would get up to help them. As a result, the men helped the woman in heels more.

However, this year it became clear that the experiment was carried out with errors and therefore the results cannot be considered reliable. It was concluded then: high heels do not affect the degree of attraction of men towards women.

Men prefer women who externally resemble them, but for selfish reasons: when two people with similar physical characteristics have a son, he is likely to look like his father. This attitude is linked to the fact of the legacy: the man wants to keep the family legacy and at the same time, that the son inherits the maximum of his traits.

Many women consider bald men to be honest and confident and are therefore more likely to trust them. However, at the same time, women do not like men who hide their bald spots, combing their hair to hide it. Almost all interviews mentioned Bruce Willis, Dwayne Johnson (The Rock), Jason Statham and a few other celebrities as examples of handsome men, and highlighted that the absence of hair, in many cases, enhances the handsome shape of the face.

Insecure men tend to indulge in certain stereotypes, and always choose a woman who is shorter than them. And vice versa: the more confident a man is, the more likely he is not to mind dating a tall girl. In addition to height, human psychology also plays a big role in these labels: the taller a woman, the more independent and ambitious she appears to be. Meanwhile, short girls seem to be better mothers and more caring partners.

While many men are still wanting to start exercising, there is a growing trend among them to “body positive” (social movement to accept the body as it is). This movement has been growing since 2016. According to researchers, 4 out of 5 women believe that men with a small belly are more self-assured. According to another study, 65% of respondents think men in the movement body positive attractive, and 61% find them sexy.

Subconsciously, tattoos are perceived by us as an indicator of strength. This is not surprising since, in the old days, tattoos were extremely painful and the process could lead to blood poisoning. If this did not happen, the man was considered extremely resistant.

An experience has revealed that tattoos are still synonymous with the firmness of their possessor. However, this does not mean that people tend to choose tattooed partners: tattoos and piercings are associated with the stereotype that the person has tendencies towards aggression and impulsiveness. And those traits are not what we look for in a partner for our lives.

It was believed that the longer the female legs, the more attractive they were to males. However, this idea is wrong. A research on this was done by scientists.

They analyzed the attractiveness of women from different countries with a focus on the length of their legs. And it turned out that men actually prefer medium length. Short or very long legs cause the same type of reaction in men.

It is believed that men are better at making fun than women. Scientists explain this stereotype from an evolutionary point of view: a person who can make us laugh holds our attention. Therefore, men in particular often perceive playful women as rivals rather than potential love partners.

Also, unconsciously, men pay more attention to shy girls than spontaneous ones, because a shy woman makes him want to protect her and make her happy.

The richer a man is, the more demanding he becomes about his partner’s appearance. By the way, the less “moneyed” tend to seek more serious relationships, and are generally unwilling to get involved in casual relationships. Yes, rich men end up sinning in this regard.

Interestingly, women don’t have this tendency to make demands for being richer. Whether she earns a lot or not, her partners’ appearance requirements don’t change.
