7 Common Mistakes Many Women Make During Hair Transition

Having beautiful curly and well-defined hair is the dream of many women who go through the hair transition, but to achieve this goal it is necessary to have a new routine, discipline and hair care. As a result, some simply give up on the transition, or end up choosing the wrong methods to bring their curls back.

we, from awesome.club, we believe that with the right way, you can enjoy this new phase of your life wonderfully. That’s why we’ve prepared 7 tips to make you more beautiful and with healthy hair. Come check!

1. Use any type of comb

Sometimes we get used to picking up the first comb or brush that comes our way, but choosing the wrong type can damage and break the strands, leading to hair loss. For this reason, it is important to invest in an appropriate model for the curvature of your hair.

And no combing with dry hair, huh! This leads to the breakage of the wires, the ideal is to untangle them after bathing or with the help of a spray bottle, starting at the ends. And don’t forget to use a combing cream or leave-in.

2. Mask straight to the roots? No way!

WE LOVE frizz-free hair, don’t we?! And with that, we can fall into the temptation to apply creams and masks all over the hair, but it is at this time that we need to redouble our attention: when placing them at the root, there is a risk of compromising the health of the scalp, causing problems in hair growth, dandruff and seborrhea.

Therefore, we must apply the products with a finger away from the root, in addition to leaving it on for the time indicated on the package and rinsing well so as not to leave any residue behind.

3. Leave your hair tied up for a long time

When the roots start to curl, it is very common to tie the hair very tightly, making a ponytail or bun, to hide the two textures. The bad news is that in doing so, we leave the roots tense. In addition to compromising the wires, there is a risk of causing hair loss, flaws or traction baldness, in the frontal region of the head. We recommend making hairstyles less tight or even loosening the strands, choosing to define them with some cream.

4. Apply cream without at least “kneading” the wires

Who hasn’t gone through that phase of putting on the cream, passing the comb and having stiff hair and curls a little stretched? To prevent this from happening, the tip is to knead the strands from the bottom up when using a leave-in or finisher, as this will activate the curls. On locks in which there is still a lot of straightening chemistry, one option is to moisten with a spray bottle and, with the help of a cotton fabric, knead the strands, creating curls.

5. Use a lot of flat iron and curling iron

If you don’t want to leave your hair tied up, so that the strands don’t get too tight and break, where to run: flat iron or curling iron? Ideally, avoid both! Excessive heat leaves the hair more dry and damaged, changing the curvature of the wires, delaying the transition process.

Invest in looser hairstyles, with accessories, in addition to texturing the locks. But, if you really prefer the help of these heat tools, it is very important to apply a good heat protectant first.

6. Dry your hair with a bath towel

How do you dry your hair after a shower: wrap it in a towel and then rub and squeeze the strands to dry? Know that this bad habit, ends up with the locks, giving more frizz, leaving them dry and brittle and with that, they lose hydration. Opt for a microfiber turban or even a cotton t-shirt to dry your hair and you’ll notice less frizz, breakage, porosity and more hydration.

7. Not following a capillary schedule

Capillary schedule is a weekly schedule of hydration, nutrition and reconstruction. When well assembled, it leaves curls healthy and helps with growth. For this, use a good shampoo preparing your wires to receive the assets of the treatment masks or moisturizing oil. Curly hair tends to be drier, so it is recommended to wash it every 2 days. The lack of hygiene, product residues and pollution, can obstruct the scalp, causing problems such as fungi, bacteria and dandruff.

This transition period messes with self-esteem a lot, so it’s important to know if you’ll feel happy with it and not just follow it by the imposition of others.
