25+ Classics from the ‘Afternoon Session’ for you to remember your childhood and miss you

The Afternoon Session is part of the imagination of many people, especially those who were born between the late 70’s and mid 90’s. Who doesn’t remember the holidays and afternoons without classes watching classics like Curtindo A Vida Aidado and others? Back then, there was no Internet (at least not as we know it today) and that’s how many of us spent our time. How about we take a trip back in time and remember some of those childhood and adolescence moments?

O awesome.club organized a list with some movies that probably marked a few generations and that you can watch again, who knows now with children or nephews on summer vacation or even alone.

Who doesn’t remember? When moving to another city with his mother, young Daniel ends up getting involved with the ex-girlfriend of a not-so-nice guy who starts chasing him. Soon, he meets Lord Miyagi, who teaches him the fundamentals of Karate and self-defense, resulting in a strong friendship.

A classic so classic that it had two offshoots — Back to the Future 2 and 3! After mad scientist Doc Brown’s experiment fails, Marty McFly, a young man from a quiet town, travels back in time, more precisely to 1950 and meets older people he knows in the present – including his parents. From there, he embarks on a series of adventures to get everything back on track!

The film, which was shot many times in the Afternoon Session, features the daughter of a rich man (Cher) who is a popular and frivolous girl and only cares about her appearance. But everything changes with the arrival of her father’s stepson, a humble, critical and altruistic young man with whom she ends up falling in love, which causes changes in her way of seeing the world.

A memorable comedy! Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne are always getting into trouble, but the biggest one is yet to come. After Lloyd takes a woman to the airport, he realizes that she left her suitcase in the lobby and goes to retrieve it and head to Aspen (the woman’s destination city) with his best friend. That’s because he was enchanted by her. But what they don’t realize is that the suitcase is full of money to pay the ransom for a kidnapping and now the criminals will pursue them.

The film has been shown numerous times in the Afternoon Session and won some versions. After a shipwreck, a boy and a girl survive and find themselves forced to make ends meet on a tropical island. There is a forbidden and mysterious side to the island, which they only discover years later, when the girl is expecting a child born of the love they have developed for each other over the years.

This light and fun 90’s comedy sure made a lot of kids and adults happy! Mr. and Mrs. Wilson accept to host the boy during his parents’ trip. But they didn’t expect to have to deal with the boy’s antics.
