22 Works by an artist who uses the shadows of everyday objects as inspiration

The works of the Belgian Vincent Bal would be “common”, if he used only the same tools used by other artists in his creations, such as colored pencils, oil paints or watercolors. However, instead of these objects, he manages to use things he finds at home and the shadows formed by them to create curious and funny scenes. In 2016, while working at his desk, Vincent noticed that the teacup and its shadow resembled a small elephant. So he completed the image with a few lines, and when he shared the result on Instagram, people loved it. This is how “Shadowology” (“Shadowology”) was born, a series of photographs that already have hundreds of thousands of followers on social networks. Get ready to see how pots, scissors, peppers and even eggshells can become true allies in artistic creations, transforming photographs into creative drawings.
