Louise Helène is a Brazilian plastic artist, makeup artist and actress, who studied plastic arts from 5 to 12 years old. Graduated in performing arts, she continued studying fine arts, in addition to working with makeup for 12 years. The project “Passeio: Arte na Pele”, made in partnership with photographer Cleber Correa, emerged when the artist began to develop painting on her own skin, face and body, falling in love with the idea of self-painting.
Despite having works by great artists as a reference, Louise prefers to leave free the path she will take through inspiration, so that something new develops during the process. “A lot of what comes out comes from within me. Memories and memories of everything I’ve seen and lived. What I paint is more a process of externalizing feelings and emotions than anything else”, she revealed to Incrível.club. The painting process can take from 40 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the work.
