Portugal and Brazil speak the same language and, in general, understanding between the natives of the two countries is quite easy. This last statement falls apart when we talk about series and movies. Many titles look completely different after translation. Sometimes, one country prefers the original name, while the other chooses to translate it literally, or makes changes that make the series almost unrecognizable on the other side of the Atlantic, yielding good laughs.
