20 Surprising and Curious Details of Animated Movies

When you watch a movie for the tenth time, you start to see a lot of details that went unnoticed the previous nine. And, truth be told, there’s always a lot to discover, especially in animation works, which usually have countless surprising details — most of them, by the way, purposefully hidden for moviegoers on duty.

We know it’s hard to capture everything, bit by bit, what the creators put into the movies, but at the very least, we can say that there’s always a reason to keep your eyes wide open when revisiting your favorite cartoons — even if you already know the lines of color.

Fans have discovered some details in popular animated movies and here on awesome.club we look forward to sharing some of these amazing discoveries with you!

1. In brave (2012) one of the arrows fired by Merida grazes her cheek

2. In The Godfather (2017), when Tim gets a younger brother, his T-shirt number changes from 01 to 02, showing that he is no longer the priority of his parents

3. In The Lion King (1994), Zazu says Scar would make a good rug. And that’s exactly how he appears in Hercules (1997)

4. In Toy Story (1995), the pattern on the carpet in Sid’s house is exactly the same as on the floor in The illuminated (1980)

5. In The Lion King (1994), Simba eats a bug with his little finger raised, which indicates his good manners as he is royalty

6. In The Little Mermaid (1989), when Ariel saves Eric, he sees her with a backlight, which makes her hair appear dark. Later, Ursula appears with dark hair the way Eric saw Ariel.

7. In Anastasia (1997), in the scene where she is dancing in the abandoned palace, only the main character has her image reflected on the floor, since she is the only royal person present in the hall

8. In Shrek the Third (2007), Fiona’s secret door, when opened, causes her father’s statue to kiss a horse’s bottom

9. In Ratatouille (2007), Remy watches as a man kisses a woman after she threatens to shoot him. Later, when Colette gets angry, the little mouse makes Linguini kiss her the same way to calm her down.

10. In Hercules (1997), the statue of Zeus starts to smile after he meets Hercules

11. In Up: High Adventures (2009), the film’s colors reflect Carl’s mood and attitude.

As Carl sits and mourns his wife and the adventure they never had, the colors are cold and dark. But when he finds Ellie’s pictures in the book and her note, everything lights up, showing his warm feelings.

12. In Aladdin (1992), this was the moment when Jasmine was sure that Prince Ali was Aladdin. He gave her an apple the same way she had at the market when they first met.

13. Sid, from Toy Story (1995), grew up to be a garbage man who appears in THey Story 3 (2010)

14. In Finding Dory (2016), the bag with the shrimp is the only one that is completely clean, since the crustacean is known to be the ocean’s garbage, as it eats parasites and dead fish tissue

15. In zootopia (2016) the two baby elephants are wearing the same clothes as Anna and Elsa from Frozen a freezing adventure (2013)

16. In Tangled Forever (2012), the lantern thrown by Rapunzel’s parents reaches her

This is evident from the fact that it is the only lantern with the same print as the Sun.

17. In Beauty and the Beast (1991) Belle agreed to be imprisoned for life in the Beast’s castle to save her father, but did not agree to marry Gaston at that time

18. In Hercules (1997), while Meg and Hercules are walking through the park, Meg is hit by Cupid’s arrow. This illustrates the fact that she is falling in love with him.
