I love pumpkin candy and every time I went to my ex-mother-in-law’s house, she made this candy for me. Sometimes, as soon as she walked in, I could already smell the candy she had just made. My mother-in-law is my second mother — and we used to joke that “the mother-in-law” really is my father-in-law, because he’s more attached to my husband and thinks he’s still a baby, hahaha. But my mother-in-law really is too much. About six years ago, I needed to undergo frequent surgeries and she always came to take care of me. As I was in recovery and slept a lot, when I woke up, my house was clean, tidy and there was always fresh and hot food. The same thing when I had my son: she made lunch, brought it to me and always “looked for an excuse” to stay until I finished lunch and left my house in order. At that time, we were a little tight on cash and I’ll never forget when she arrived with a giant bag of clothes in all sizes for my baby. Really a great mother, very affectionate and always takes care of everyone.

My ex-mother-in-law was a sweet person. I always worked and studied and, at that time, I worked as a salesperson at the mall. So she prepared lunchboxes for me to take to work.
