20+ Actors Who Almost Starred in Blockbuster Movies

The process of choosing actors for a movie can be quite difficult, especially when the feature is an adaptation of famous books or comics. Some actors and actresses have done so well in jobs of this type that it is even difficult to imagine other professionals in the role of certain beloved characters on the big screen. However, behind the scenes, there are several cases of artists who, for a little while, did not live as successful protagonists in large productions.

O incredible.club conducted a survey and found out who came close to embodying iconic movie characters. We took the opportunity to list the reasons why actresses and actors had to reject such jobs.

1. Emily Blunt as the Black Widow

Emily Blunt was about to play Black Widow in Iron man 2but gave up the role due to a scheduling problem, while working on Gulliver’s Travels.

The original James Bond said “no” when Peter Jackson offered him the role of Gandalf in Lord of the Rings. Connery said he did not understand the script.

In a curious quirk of fate, Spider-Man: Far From Home, which premieres in 2019, features Gyllenhaal as the villainous Mysterio.

21. Olivia Wilde as Gamora

The role of “the most dangerous woman in the galaxy” was offered to Olivia Wilde. However, she rejected the job for reasons still unknown.
