2 Proofs That Everyone Has A Clone In The World

“I got on the plane last and someone was sitting in my seat, so I had to ask him to move. He turned around and I saw my own face in front of me… The whole plane was watching us, laughing.”

These are the memories of Neil Douglas, who on an ordinary day flew to Ireland for a wedding and, on the flight, found his clone. The “twins” not only bought tickets for seats next to each other on the same plane, but also chose the same hotel. Then they went to the same bar (although, in this case, they decided if they really met).

But just think about it: it could happen to absolutely anyone! Have you heard anything about the legend that nature creates 8 identical people and distributes them in the world so that at least one of them survives? And their meeting inevitably means a failure in the system and causes the death of one of them?

well, no incredible.club we do not believe in such stories, but now we are going to show that, in practice, you really can have someone identical to you.

1. Only 0.1% of the genome accounts for uniqueness

The first theory is based on the following: 99.9% of the genome of all humanity is identical and only 0.1% accounts for uniqueness. Genes related to physical appearance have a lower percentage than this.

So, despite the infinite combinations of DNA, the sets of genes responsible for an identical appearance no longer seem impossible.

Of course, a complete coincidence even within this tiny percentage can only occur in 1 case in 1 billion, as in the infinite monkeys theorem: if you give a typewriter to a monkey, in theory there is a probability that, by accident, he will write some tragedy of Shakespeare in the original language.

Imagine: a monkey in front of a typewriter. The probability that you can correctly spell the first word of the tragedy of “Macbeth” is 1 in 26 (not bad, right?). From correctly spelling the second word, 1 in 676, and at the end of the fourth line (22 words), that chance reduces to 1 in 13 quintillion. Well, the chances of a monkey writing at least one chapter of Shakespeare are extremely slim.

But there are!

So, in theory, among the 7 billion people living in this world, there could be one whose DNA matches yours, even if it’s a very low percentage. For example, as in the amazing story of Valery Panyushkin about bone marrow donors.

“If your bone marrow is suitable, they call you and ask if you want to meet the donor.” If you agree, go meet him. A few years ago, I witnessed such an encounter with my friend Dr. Mikhail Maschan and a group of Russian children, his patients, who had undergone bone marrow transplants. There were 5 or 6 kids waiting for their donors, eating cookies and starting to get bored. Suddenly, the door opened and a young woman of about 30 years old entered. She looked very disconcerted. She didn’t know where to go. But we do, just seeing her. “My God!” Mikhail whispered. “It can not be!”. This thin blonde looked like one of our children, like an older sister who looks like her younger sister. It was impossible to be wrong. At first glance, the woman and the girl shared the DNA responsible for their appearance. Mikhail approached the blonde, asked the name of the girl he was looking for and, of course, the woman was right behind the girl we thought. Mikhail introduced himself and said he was the doctor who had performed the transplant. Then he led the woman towards the girl. The blonde was saying something in English. But on seeing the little one, she turned white and whispered, “Mein Gott! Das bin doch ich als Kind!” I couldn’t speak German, but I understood what he said: “My God, it’s me in my childhood.”

2. It could actually be a distant (very distant) relative of yours

Another aspect: if you look at the matter from the point of view not only of genetics, but also of mathematics, clones can simply be your relatives. According to mathematical calculations, approximately within 8 generations, a human being can have more than 250 relatives, and within 30 generations more than 1 million. And logic says that there is nothing surprising, if you suddenly come across some distant cousin of yours, in which the same genes as your ancestors were miraculously manifested.

For example, in this text we use the photographic project by Francois Brunelle called “I don’t look like me”, in which he found dozens of Canadians who seem to have been separated at birth. Who knows, maybe they’re just related.

We can only hope that, in the future, the faces of all 7 billion inhabitants of our planet are registered in some databases on the Internet (like this page): that way we could find our clones. Meanwhile, these encounters can be considered a simple miracle, unless your twin appears in some Hungarian movie or records rare videos on his cell phone (like this guy).

And finally, imagine that somewhere in the world there is at least one handsome guy like you! Answer honestly: would you like to meet him?
