18 Objects From Our Grandparents’ Time That Are Still Useful Today

Time passes and to keep up with new trends, many people discard their old objects, so that the most modern ones become part of our daily lives. But have you noticed that some of these new products simply don’t last very long and soon end up in the repair shop or even in the trash? While others last forever without giving a single problem.

O awesome.club selected a few people who still prefer to have true relics passed down from generation to generation that are still working well today.

1. “Pocket watch made in 1917 that belonged to my great grandfather. It was passed down to my grandfather, uncle and now it’s mine.”

2. “I found a vintage cookbook full of old ads — bonus for the strawberry shortcake recipe”

3. “These antique sewing scissors belong to my great-grandmother. They are still sharp and are only used for silk and linen.”

4. “The refrigerator in my apartment is a 1950s Frigidaire”

5. “Look at this sink! It’s from Vintage Farmhouse, cast iron, and it’s about 100 years old. It still looks great — it just got renewed last week!”

6. “I saw this very old chair in a shop this morning and couldn’t stop thinking about it while I was still at work. To my surprise, she was still there this afternoon!”
