One of Hollywood’s most beloved actors and a former contestant on Australia’s famous Dancing with the Stars program, he was born in Melbourne. However, a good part of his childhood he spent in the countryside watching crocodiles and buffaloes. Actor Joel Edgerton, famous for his role as Tom Buchanan in The Great Gatsby (2013), was born in Blacktown, Australia. In 2015, Edgerton made his directorial debut in the thriller The Gift, for which he was nominated for a Directors Guild of America award.

One of Sydney-born Callan McAuliffe’s most notable roles is that of young Jay Gatsby in The Great Gatsby. For his performance, the actor won the Young Supporting Actor award. In addition, he starred in the science fiction I Am Number Four (2011) and the comedy drama First Love (2010).

Firass Dirani acted in the series Power Rangers and in the movie Until the Last Man. The actor was born in Sydney to a family of Lebanese origin. In 2010, the handsome man received the title Single of the Year, from the women’s magazine Cleo.

The Sydney-born actor is best known for playing Steven Carrington in the 2017-2019 series Dynasty. He also participated in the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge and appeared in the 2015 feature Revenge Is in Fashion.

Ben Mendelsohn was born in Melbourne. He became famous thanks to his roles in Animal Kingdom (2010) and Batman: The Dark Knight (2012). His performance in the series Bloodline earned him an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe nomination.

Brenton Thwaites dreamed of becoming a firefighter or a policeman, but he chose an acting career and was not wrong. The charming Australian made his big screen debut in Blue Lagoon: The Awakening (2012) and was cast to portray Bek in Gods of Egypt (2016) as well as Henry Turner in Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge. Before becoming an actor, Chris Hemsworth’s younger brother worked for six months laying floors and tiles. He achieved his first success in the TV series Neighbors, formerly starring his older brother Luke. For his role in the Hunger Games franchise, in which he starred opposite Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, he received the award for “on-screen chemistry”.

It’s hard to believe that as a child Hugh Jackman wanted to be an ‘airline chef’. Little Hugh had a passion for traveling and decided that this would be a perfect job for him.
