17 Things That Are Much Bigger Than We Thought

1. Traffic light

We are used to seeing traffic lights from afar, which makes them appear relatively small. But in reality, a traffic light is comparable in size to the height of a child.

This plant, Amorphophallus titanum, exhibited at the Franklin Zoo, in Boston (USA), has one of the largest flowers in the world (it grows to 3 meters in height) and a smell reminiscent of rotten meat. These flowers used to grow in the forests of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, but now they are found in botanical gardens around the world.
