Year of birth: 1952

When taking the IQ test, at just five years old, she hit 205. At age 12, she went to university and became the youngest person to graduate from the Atlantic University of Florida, in 1967. Edith was already teaching mathematics at the University of Florida. Michigan before the age of 20, later working at IBM. Of American and Australian origin, this math genius has an IQ between 220 and 230. By the time he was just nine years old, he was already taking college-level math courses. Today, he teaches mathematics at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) after earning his PhD from Princeton University, also in the US, at age 21. At 24, he became a full professor, the youngest person to hold the post in UCLA history.

Year of birth: 1982

Christopher has an incredible IQ of 225, and when he was 13 years old, he became the youngest winner of the International Physics Olympiad in 1996. At 16, Christopher was already collaborating with NASA, and at 22 he received his degree and doctorate from Princeton University in the USA. He is currently an astrophysicist and cosmologist at the Center for Cosmology and Astroparticle Physics at The Ohio State University.

13. Marilyn Vos Savant — IQ 186-228

Profession: magazine columnist

Year of birth: 1946

This woman’s IQ is one of the highest ever recorded, and she was only 10 years old when she auditioned, entering the Guinness Book of Records as the owner of the highest IQ between 1985 and 89. Marilyn is known for her column Ask Marilyn (“Ask Marilyn”). More recently, she has published books and become a member of the National Council for Economic Education.

14. Ainan Cawley – IQ 250

Profession: Composer

Year of birth: 1999

At just 21 years old, he has an IQ of 250. His first class was taught when he was six. The young man has been working in the film industry since he was 12, acting as a composer. In fact, in 2013 he wrote, directed and edited his own film, The Sempiternal.

15. Marnen Laibow-Koser — IQ 268

Profession: Composer and web developer

Year of birth: Unknown

Perhaps the least known on the list, but Marnen was also a Prodigy child. In a test taken as a child, she was shown to have an IQ of 268. According to her Web sitehe speaks English, German, Japanese, French, Russian, Esperanto and Kligon (the language of Star Trek). He enjoys his time with hobbies such as heraldry, medieval reenactment and folk dance. Marnen has worked as a programmer, composer and musician.

Profession: Physicist

Lived between: 1831 — 1879

The Scottish mathematician and physicist had an IQ between 190 and 205. He is remembered to this day for his theory of electromagnetic radiation, and Einstein even credited him for his work, claiming to have leaned on Maxwell’s shoulders.
