15 curious secrets hidden in cartoons

Sometimes cartoons deal with such significant themes that they are able to make even adults reflect. Directors and screenwriters also place great importance on small details, plot twists and the personality of their characters. Some of these peculiarities are perceived only by more attentive and experienced spectators.

We, from awesome.club, we found 15 unexpected details that many didn’t notice, even if they watched these cartoons hundreds of times.

In Zootopia, Chief Bogo put on glasses to read documents. In an interview, the directors confirmed that this detail was not a simple figment of the writers’ imagination. It turns out that buffaloes, like Bogo, really have problems of vision🇧🇷 Therefore, the creators decided that the glasses would add more credibility to the scene.

In one of the scenes from Shrek the Third, a figure similar to Little Red Riding Hood appears. And we can clearly see that she’s been sitting with the villains, which apparently means she’s teamed up with Prince Charming. According to one version, this is due to the fact that the Bad Wolf teamed up with Shrek🇧🇷 Another possible reason is that the ogre scared her at the beginning of the second part of the saga — during the protagonists’ honeymoon, Little Riding Hood knocked on the door of the ogres’ house and then ran away screaming when she saw Shrek.

In Randall’s room at University Monsters, we can see a poster with the suggestive phrase “Winds of change”. Randall must have been very inspired by her, because in “Monstros Inc”, when he was about to get the leadership in ranking of the scariest monsters🇧🇷 he said to Sulley, “Can you hear that? These are the winds of change!”

In The Lion Kingthe villain Scar is the only lion that has his claws on display in every scene that appears🇧🇷 This probably demonstrates that he is always prepared to attack his enemies and defeat them.

In Leroy & Stitchwhich was the conclusion of the TV series Lilo & Stitch, it is possible to notice a rather curious detail. Just before the final battle between the experiments (Stitch’s cousins) and the army of Leroys, we can easily make out two other Disney characters —Timon and Pumbaa.

In Monsters IncSulley and Mike pass by the Hidden City Cafe. This is a reference to an actual establishment located in Richmond, California. At the beginning of the animated film, Mulan has long eyelashes — a technique quite common among illustrators to portray female characters. But when she disguises herself as a man, her long eyelashes (as well as the eyeliner) suddenly disappear. Later, when it is revealed that she is a woman, the eyelashes and eyeliner reappear.

In the movie the corpse bride, we can see an almost imperceptible inscription on Victor’s piano, which says: Harryhausen. This is a kind of tribute to Ray Harryhausen — a legend in the world of animation — by the creator of the cartoon Tim Burton.

In Monsters Incon the control panel, the numbers 510: 732: 3000 appear. That was the phone number for the Pixar studio at the time of the cartoon’s release.

In this animated film, during a song, the Genie mentions a request from Aladdin. In order for the scenery of the cartoon to correspond to the environment of the East, the creators thought through all the smallest details and added a Persian language inscription to Genie’s notebook🇧🇷 It is clearly visible in the scene and means “Turkey Pilaf”.

In frozen, we can see Hans breathing when he talks to Elsa in prison. During Elsa’s lines, we don’t see smoke coming out of her mouth, because the princess has magical ice powers. This can be clearly seen in this scene from the movie.

In The Little Mermaid, when Ariel saves Eric and sings to him, the glow behind her makes it look like her hair is dark brown or black. This further clarifies why the prince mistakes the girl who saved him for the witch Ursula in human form.

In Gusteau’s pantry at Ratatouillethere is several cans of “Nemo” brand caviar🇧🇷 This could be a reference to the movie. Looking for Nemo, which was also produced by Pixar.
