15 Common Objects That Gained Other Functions In Famous Movies And Many Didn’t Realize

Not everything in cinema is done with computer graphics and directors have to work hard to create the look they want for the scene. For this, creativity is used at its full power and many common objects can be used to create certain movie props. It is worth resorting to old toys, computer parts, gallons of water and even a washing machine hose, everything is useful if the cinematographic objective is achieved.

Star Trek: The Next Generation is a series with many fans and it was one of them who noticed that the floors in the access tunnels, or “Jefferies Tube”, are grease-resistant rubber mats used in restaurant kitchens.

Yet another from The Book of Boba Fett, the futuristic tool used by the character was unmasked as just a flashlight.

Ghostbusters was very successful in the 1980s, when computers were still very large and unknown to the general public. Maybe that’s why the production decided to use medical equipment to perform exams as a prop to compose the scenario.
