14 “Game of Thrones” Characters Who Could Have Been Very Different (Especially Daenerys)

The most epic saga of recent times has come to an end. the fans of game of Thrones they keep talking about the ending presented by the producers and don’t hesitate when it comes to proposing alternative endings. But only we decided to give the series’ “orphans” a new subject to discuss without leaving the topic. Let’s show how some characters in the plot could have been.

We, from awesome.club, We resorted to Photoshop to show what our favorite characters would look like if they had been played by actors who almost got into the casting. Curiosity hit? So check it out!

Cersei Lannister (Gillian Anderson)

Gillian Anderson rejected her proposed role in the series. But the actress did not specify what role this was. Fans still haven’t come to terms with who Agent Scully could have played: while some say Cersei’s role would suit her, others speak of Catelyn Stark and Melisandre.

Viserys Targaryen (Sam Claflin)

The blond Viserys Targaryen could have been played by Sam Claflin, but the role went to Harry Lloyd. Perhaps it was just as well: even in our montage, Claflin turned out to be too beautiful for the job.

Ned Stark (Viggo Mortensen)

or Gerard Butler

Liam Neeson, Gerard Butler, Viggo Mortensen and Sam Neill also auditioned for the role, which went to one of the most “murdered” actors on screen, Sean Bean. We concluded that the job fit him like a glove.

Sansa Stark (Rachel Hurd-Wood)

Jaime Lannister (Jamie Bamber)

Jamie Bamber could have played Jaime Lannister. But now, after Nicolaj Coster-Waldau’s performance, it’s hard to imagine another actor in the role.

Davos Seaworth (David Thewlis)

Sir Davos could have been played by David Thewlis or Tim Roth, but we’ll remember him as Liam Cunningham.

Grenn (Joseph Dempsie)

Actor Joseph Dempsie auditioned for the characters of Grenn and Jon Snow, but ended up playing Gendry, the bastard son of Robert Baratheon. We love the choice of producers, who gave the young actor a chance to showcase his work.

Daenerys Targaryen (Elena Satine)

The role of the Mother of Dragons almost went to American actress Elena Satine. It’s hard to say what Daenerys would look like in this case, as all audiences were won over by Emilia Clarke.

Petyr Baelish “Littlefinger” (Tom Hollander)

The creators of the saga offered the role of Lord Baelish to Tom Hollander. The actor rejected the job, which fell into the lap of Irishman Aidan Gillen.

Oberyn Martell (Oded Fehr)

Oberyn Martell was almost not played by the Israeli actor Oded Fehr, but, in the end, the public enjoyed Pedro Pascal’s performance. We must admit that Pascal gave the character the dose of masculinity and brutality that the character needed.

Khal Drogo (Conan Stevens)

Joffrey Baratheon (Eugene Simon)

The spoiled Joffrey could have been played by English actor Eugene Simon (who ended up living Lancel Lannister). Perhaps he too would have made a good arrogant ruler. However, Jack Gleeson, who was chosen by the producers, was so hated for his role that we can say that he performed the task masterfully.

Robert Baratheon (Conleth Hill)

It’s hard to imagine now, but Conleth Hill, who will forever be remembered for his role as Varys, auditioned to play Robert Baratheon.

Jon Snow (Ivan Rheon)

Many young actors auditioned to play the King of the North, including Ivan Rheon and Sam Claflin. Only, instead of a good guy, Rheon was offered the role of the villain Ramsay Bolton, while Jon Snow was played by Kit Harington. And today we can say that the producers got it right: both actors were highly applauded for their characters.
