If you were to make a list of the world’s favorite television series, friends would certainly have won first place. And even many years after the last episode, interesting details from the shooting that many of the viewers did not notice still appear on the Internet.

1. Do you remember the legendary painting that hung on Monica’s apartment door? It seems that the creators of the series liked the actor, because they decided to invite him again, relying on the lack of public attention.

4. Do you remember the chapter where Ross discovers that Rachel is very fond of the Navy officer’s uniform, and so he looks for one and carries the young woman in his arms? This scene is almost an exact copy of part of the movie The Force of Destiny, in which Richard Gere plays the main role. So it’s a reference!

5. In the series you can see several posters in Russian. In addition to the famous “Boxing Kangaroo” that hung in Joe and Chandler’s apartment, there were phrases in the Russian language in Ross’ apartment (“Physics” and “To build, you have to know, you have to learn”), and about the bed in Monica’s room.

6. Actor Hank Azaria was eager to land the role of Joey, and even auditioned twice. 8. The ridiculous dog statue in Joey’s apartment actually belonged to Jennifer Aniston. The actress got it as a good luck gift, but decided to get rid of it as soon as possible (and we understand very well why), and offered it to the film crew as part of the decoration. The dog was not only useful, but soon became an excellent comic symbol.

9. In the series there is an interesting mistake related to Chandler and Monica. Do you remember the chapter where Phoebe tries to seduce Chandler to make him confess that he has a relationship with Monica? So he can’t resist the pressure and admits that he loves the woman: at that moment, she leaves
from the bathroom where it was hidden. Supposedly, at that moment, it was his first declaration of love.

But in an earlier episode, when Monica went to see Chandler with a turkey on his head, he also confessed to the young woman that he loved her. So the couple declared their love for the first time at least twice, or maybe Monica was just too emotional.

10. When, in season two, his friends see old footage from their high school days, Chandler is surprised that Monica is so fat. She tells him that she only looks fat because the camera added a couple extra pounds, so he asks, “How many cameras did they film you with?” It’s weird that he’s so surprised, because in season five we’re shown another flashback where, while studying at university, Chandler went over to Ross’ house and of course saw his older sister. 11. The legendary orange coffee shop sofa had been found in the basements of Warner Bros.
