13 signs on our face that could indicate health problems

Our body is smarter than we imagine and the signals it gives us must always be respected. The face is one of these vehicles of information when it comes to preventing some health problems. A good look in the mirror can determine in which part of the body there may be an imbalance.

Today, we bring some signs of our face that we should know and that bring important information that must be considered. Anyway, whenever you feel something strange, look for your doctor.

1. Bags and circles under the eyes

Dark circles under the eyes are often a hereditary sign. In that case, there is nothing you can do. But if a dark spot suddenly appears, it’s worth checking out the possible causes. The most common are lack of sleep, smoking, hormonal changes, allergies, excessive alcohol, coffee or salty food abuse.

As a temporary solution we suggest cold compresses. On an aesthetic level, a good corrector.

2. Spots or pimples on forehead

The spots or pimples on the forehead appear due to sweat, especially in people who have bangs or who don’t clean their makeup properly. The skin on the forehead usually reacts quickly to the digestive system, so fatty foods, snacks and fast food can quickly change their status.

By saying ‘goodbye’ to bad food, you will be able to eliminate these effects from your skin.

3. Red nose

4. Yellowish skin on the face and eyes

This happens when the body starts to accumulate some substances. This is usually seen in babies who are born before 38 weeks and the liver does not work as it should – jaundice. If adults have it, it could mean more serious problems, like drinking too much alcohol.

Take tests to check the functioning of the liver, gallbladder and pancreas. Ideally, you should talk to your doctor.

5. Unexpected appearance of spots and marks

In general, we don’t need to worry, but it’s important for you to ask yourself a few questions. Does the format vary? Is the stain color uneven? Is the diameter larger than a pea? Has it changed over the last few weeks?

Talk to a doctor, especially if you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions. And try to get used to not sunbathing without protection.

6. Butterfly-shaped face allergy

A minor allergy on the face can be a consequence of cosmetic products, climate change or even excessive consumption of sweets. These problems usually resolve themselves. If the allergy covers both cheeks and is butterfly-shaped, it could be a sign of systemic lupus erythematosus.

This problem is characterized by some additional symptoms such as fever, joint pain and blue fingers in the cold. If you notice any of these symptoms, talk to your doctor as soon as possible.

7. Peeling skin around mouth and nose

8. Allergy in the triangle part of the lip or nose

An allergy around the nose or on the lips could be herpes. If you ever had this virus, unfortunately it will always be in your body. It manifests itself when immunity is low, or when the person goes through a moment of stress or fatigue.

It usually disappears over time. To speed up the process, you can buy ointments at pharmacies.

9. Crack in the lips

It is very common for the lip to become dry and cracked, especially in cold weather or after a lot of exposure to the sun. Cracks can also be an allergic reaction to some of the body’s side effects of different medications.

The no-lip-licking rule really works. And don’t forget the products that help hydrate.

10. Excessive hair on the face

Many people have facial hair due to hereditary aspects. In addition, some women may be experiencing hormonal changes due to the malfunctioning of the ovaries. This is called polycystic ovary syndrome.

Talk to your gynecologist and try to avoid products with a lot of sugar.

11. Hyperpigmentation on the face

12. Eyebrows and eyelashes too thin

If your eyebrows and eyelashes become too thin and this is not a result of poor quality cosmetics, then your body may be experiencing problems with the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism usually affects people over the age of 50.

Additional symptoms: tiredness, dry skin and unexplained weight gain. In that case, talk to your doctor, he will order some tests.

13. Pimples or color change on the chin

The chin is directly linked to hormonal issues, but that’s not all. Problems may be related to moving or lack of sleep.

Try to sleep well and eat properly. The ideal is to consume vegetables, fruits, fish, seeds and grains.

All these symptoms can vary from person to person. Therefore, we once again emphasize the importance of you talking to your doctor to eliminate any possibility of a more serious problem.
