In general, we see in the world of celebrities, a lot of spotlight, parties and recognition. However, the life of a famous artist also has demands that can tire many of them, taking them to other directions, in search of a purpose or a more peaceful life. More than that, in many cases, projects take a long time to appear and the option for another career is inevitable.
In view of this, the awesome.club searched in the “tunnel of time” those artists who had already been highlighted in the media, but, today, live far from the screen, in a routine that can even be confused with that of any of us. Let’s remember who they are?
1. Claudio Heinrich
Claudio Heinrich has been known to the general public since the late 80s, when he was a paquito da Xuxa. As an actor, he had his most outstanding role as the Indian Tatuapu, in Uga Uga. In 2011, he made a career change and began to dedicate himself to Jiu-jitsu — a sport he had been practicing for many years — now as a teacher.
2. Susana Werner
Highlight in Malhação, Susana Werner made some soap operas on Rede Globo until 2002, when she married goalkeeper Júlio César. The couple, with two children, has lived in Italy, Canada and currently settled in Portugal, where Susana maintains a luxurious beauty salon.
3. Anderson Vianna
In the plot of Velho Chico, the actor Anderson Vianna played a multitasking character, who was divided between the jobs of journalist, postman and fairground. With the end of the novel, to keep studying and deepening his career, he brought this skill to real life. He has worked in various jobs, from clerk to janitor, without losing sight of the goal of returning to screens.
4. Pedro Malta
Who was not in love with the boy Lipe, in the soap opera Coração de Estudante? The talented little boy grew up between one job and another in television, but decided to pursue life behind the camera. Pedro Malta studied Radio and TV and has worked on some productions. However, his dedication currently lies in writing. He even maintains a profile to publicize his stories and illustrations.
5. Flavia Bonato
Flavia Bonato stole the show with her bouts of jealousy in the soap opera Por Amor. The girl studied and Gastronomy, and found a way to combine the two passions in a cooking channel on YouTube. Later, she became a presenter in a sales channel and has already declared that she does not think about returning to acting.
6. Max Fercondini
A young heartthrob in the early 2000s, Max Fercondini made his TV debut at the age of 14. There were outstanding roles and even work as a presenter, over 18 years in front of the cameras. Until, in 2018, the young man traded his Global career for a life surrounded by adventures. Today, he lives on a boat, having crossed the Atlantic Ocean twice on a sailboat. Now, he plans to write a book.
7. Bernardo Mesquita
The actor started his career in Malhação, but became known as Prince Luke, in the film Xuxa in O Mistério de Feiurinha. The handsome guy was chosen in a contest that had 6,000 entries. Afterwards, he did some work on TV, but went on to dedicate himself to other projects. Today, he has a band for event animation.
8. Luana Piovanni
The actress was a hit in the early 90s, as a teenager, in the miniseries Sex Appeal, which revealed great actresses of that generation. After many works in TV, theater and cinema, Luana Piovanni moved to Portugal, dedicates herself to her three children and keeps working in some television productions. She was in the Portuguese series O Clube, whose last season aired in 2021.
9. Paula Lavigne
Paula Lavigne had a consolidated career as an actress in the 80s and 90s, with many roles in soap operas, until she embarked on film production, with important works for national cinema, such as Orfeu, Lisbela e o Prisioneiro and Ó paí, Ó. Her last film was in 2020. Currently, she is almost exclusively dedicated to the career of her companion Caetano Veloso.
10. Lucas Hornos
In popular memory as Caquinho, by Sai de Baixo, actor Lucas Hornos had a meteoric stint on TV, being very successful at the time he joined the cast of the series. After the sitcom, he still had some work on television and even in cinema, however, he devoted himself to his studies. Lucas has lived outside Brazil and works as a designer.
11. Tássia Camargo
With characters that enchanted the public, such as Marlene, from O Salvador da Pátria and Joana, in O Cravo e a Rosa, Tássia Camargo left her work as an actress in Brazil, but did not completely abandon her profession. Today, she lives in Portugal and still works in the theater, in addition to being a teacher of interpretation and being always present in the media, in advertising works.
12. Marcello Antony
Still recognized wherever he goes, actor Marcello Antony has been away from the screens since his participation in the soap opera Valor da Vida, on Portuguese broadcaster TVI. After that, he did not return to the screens in a Brazilian production. Installed on the other side of the ocean, he is now a businessman and is fully dedicated to his chain of hamburgers, with establishments in Portugal and Rio de Janeiro.
13. Jonas Torres
Known to the Brazilian public since he was a child, actor Jonas Torres debuted on TV at the age of 10, in the soap opera Vereda Tropical. Throughout his career, he has been in important productions such as Top Model and Império. This was even his last performance. Since 2015, he has lived in the United States and works as a voice actor, in addition to having taken his commercial aircraft pilot record out of the drawer.
