Making a series successful with ratings is a difficult task. And even after many successful seasons, the production can end up with a disappointing end at the last moment. To be honest, I really didn’t like it. It felt like the writers just gave up on the characters and wanted to find a quicker way to end things. One of the main mysteries that kept the viewers’ attention on the series for 5 seasons was the identity of the main antagonist — Red John. “What was this?” — that was probably the question many Sherlock fans asked themselves after watching season four. The beauty of the series was that viewers were as eager to find clues as the detective was, but they were also fascinated by the way the writers handled them. Fans of this youth drama about New York’s wealthy elite have wondered for six seasons who the mysterious omniscient blogger was, whose posts had all the main characters intrigued.
