My mother told me this story. Her friend has a son who is currently studying in China and, like many students, does odd jobs. Do you know what you’re working on? As a foreigner. That’s it, ALIEN! Your employer’s requirements are as follows: come to a new cafe/bar for the night, eat and drink whatever the employer (the owner of the cafe) gives you for free. But the most important thing is to have fun, dance and show that you really like the place. For that, you get about 25 dollars a night. The reason is that, in China, a bar is valued if it is frequented by foreigners. That’s why owners of newly opened venues turn to these services. And the “foreigners” love it, of course! They eat, drink and have fun earning for it!

Near my house there is a grocery store where I often shop after work. Salespeople already know me. I’m a sales executive, I work in an office. And on weekends I sometimes earn extra money installing windows. And usually after a hard day at work I buy a few beers and sometimes even something stronger. This has been going on for 4 years. Yesterday, after an installation, I went to buy beer. Said I would pay later. In the evening I went to that same grocery store to buy fruit. I was about to pay and the cashier told me, “This is the amount. You could also pay your alcoholic brother’s bill.” That’s how I learned about “my brother”. Turns out we are twins. And one is considered a “gentleman”, who always wears a suit and buys fruit and yogurt. The other just comes to get alcohol.

I slept late and lost time to go to work. I ran around my apartment, packing my bag, because for me there’s nothing worse than being late. I called a taxi, put on a dress, put everything in my bag and closed it without looking. I grabbed my backpack and ran. I arrived quickly, because I rushed the driver at all traffic lights. Lucky I arrived on time! I opened the bag and saw my cat’s scared yellow eyes looking at me! I think she was more shocked than I was.

My husband and I play this way. When he returns home, he sometimes asks in a menacing tone, “Where is he?” (Referring to a lover)
The other day, my husband was waiting for me at home for lunch. I rushed into the apartment and shouted menacingly:

“Where is she?”

And I saw in our bathroom a woman, a manager who had gone into the house to check a leak that was bothering the neighbors in the apartment below. She blushed and withdrew quickly saying:

“Well, I’ll be off… Let your husband explain everything to you.”

The other day I installed a new door at home. The following dialogue took place between the installer and me:

Installer: You had a really bad door, thieves could have broken the lock in a minute!

Me: And this one?

Installer: And that’s a good one, it’ll take two minutes.

I was almost asleep with my hand dangling from the couch. I felt that my cat touched it with his paw and began to lick it with his rough tongue (he sometimes does this). I turned around and saw that my cat was sleeping near my feet! Horrified, I looked under my bed and saw another cat sitting there. Apparently, he climbed a tree to the second floor. That childhood trauma of the monster under the bed has come true.

I was home alone at night. It was about two in the morning. I was watching a horror series on my tablet. The protagonist walks through a cave with a flashlight, looking into the darkness. The music accompanied the situation. I also watched, involuntarily bringing the tablet close to my face. Because of the music I realized that a terrible scene was about to happen! In a few seconds, I suddenly noticed a terrible face looking at me from the darkness of the cave. It was my face.

This happened one summer when my wife was 7 months pregnant. We decided to sit in a cafe and take a walk in the fresh air. Because I stayed late at work, she got to the place before me, grabbed a table on the street, and placed an order. When I arrived, she told me the following.

“I was sitting at a table quietly (I need to clarify that the table is quite high and my belly was practically not visible). A guy approached me and said:

Hello what’s your name?

– Elena.

– Are you waiting for someone?

– Yes, a baby, 7 months ago.

My response was so automatic that I didn’t even have time to think about it. When I realized what I had said, I looked at the guy and saw that he was in shock.”

I spent my childhood in Canada. In third grade, one of my classmates called me and said he wasn’t going to school that day because the snow had fallen from the roof of his house and broken the canopy over the entrance and the door wouldn’t open. His parents went to work by going out the window and he stayed at home, as the window wouldn’t close from the outside. The teacher didn’t believe his ridiculous excuse and gave him bad grades. The next day, his parents arrived and showed him the footage of a 10-foot block of ice and the rubble of the broken concrete canopy.

My granddaughter called me from another city and said: “Grandma, I miss you so much, when are you coming? We have a beautiful cotton tree near our house, you should come and see it, I’ll take it there”. I had a few days off and decided to go see her. I also wondered what kind of kapok it was, as those trees don’t grow in the area where my daughter and granddaughter live. I arrived and my granddaughter took me to see the board. My granddaughter made me spend $100 on toys on this “Paineira”. I didn’t know there was a store by that name.

I have trouble hanging out with girls. I’m handsome, I have a great sense of humor, but I can’t talk. I decided to create a fake account with a girl’s name, so that the guys would write to me and that way I could understand how to communicate. I uploaded some photos of my friend that are not on social media. Anyway: 4 men used boring phrases, 6 wrote that they wanted to hook up with me and 2 sent intimate photos. Terribly amazing.

My mother worked for many years in a maternity hospital. And my aunt too. They have many genius stories, but this one is remembered to this day:

A 48-year-old woman came to the maternity ward with her 19-year-old daughter and her husband. When they arrived, they realized that the woman was about to give birth. She was very surprised and repeated that this was a mistake as she was sterile. She gave birth to a male baby. Her daughter and her husband wept with happiness. According to the woman, since the age of 20 she was sterile, with no possibility of becoming pregnant. She was always a big, tall woman. She and her husband adopted a daughter, and she was engaged to be married. They thought about retiring. The woman thought that the symptoms were a result of the physiological processes of menopause. So she lost 15 kg. She was happy. She changed her wardrobe and got a new haircut. But suddenly she felt sick and thought she was going to die, so they called an ambulance. The delivery was normal. Years later, her daughter gave birth. They and their brother went to see the baby.
