12 Meanings of foreign words that many people don’t understand (and their versions in the Tupiniquim vocabulary)

Foreignness is a process by which words coming from another language are inserted in our language. It is possible to see that the use of some of these expressions is increasingly present in our daily lives, especially in the language of social networks.

Have you ever been a victim of “fake news”, have you ever received a “spoiler” or been invited to a “date”? Don’t worry if these words sound strange in any way. It’s normal that we don’t grasp the meaning of so many new words quickly, even more so if we take into account that our language, by itself, is already very complex. It is even so rich that many of these terms can be equivalent to others that have been around for a long time — in the Tupiniquim version, of course.

So, to help you understand these expressions, the awesome.club prepared a list with the meaning of some of the most popular loanwords on the internet. And to simplify even more, he compared them with some Brazilian Portuguese words. Unravel with us below!

Ever since watching Henry Cavill as Superman, he’s become my crush Platonic. I would say that it is very possible that Rodrigo Hilbert is the crush of half the country.

Is the use of the term crush really new around here?! Incidentally, it is not new that we call these gallantries “crush🇧🇷crush🇧🇷flirt🇧🇷passion“… Right?

11.

So:

Mine OTP, without a doubt, it’s Bella with Jacob, rather than Edward. Suelen has much more chemistry with Leandro than with Roni, in Avenida Brasil. that’s why they are mine OTP Perfect.

Around here, we grew up listening to “The perfect match” or “They were born for each other”, and the meaning is very similar, right?
